Vacation Rental Description

Two-Room Garden Apartment

Why torture yourself in a cramped, dreary, overpriced hotel room with
a sagging mattress, threadbare towels, and the shouts and screams 
from the next room filtering through the paper-thin walls? Our newly
renovated two-room apartment is bright, quiet, spacious, and
secure--and less expensive than the local hotels to boot. 

Our apartment is situated on a quiet, private street, Privada de San
Juan de Dios, in the Presa neighborhood of Guanajuato. It's a
fifteen-minute walk from the center of town, and only five minutes
from the popular Academía Falcón language school. Three of the best
restaurants in town are less than ten minutes away. 

A private entrance and a plant-lined patio lead to the apartment. 
The main room is the living/dining/kitchen area, with rustic Mexican 
furnishings, a garden view, and modern appliances. The adjacent 
bathroom is finished with traditional Mexican ceramic tile. The 
bedroom is furnished with a brand-new double bed, a large closet, 
and a nightstand.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner gas stove and oven, 
a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, dishes, and pots and 
pans. Wireless broadband Internet service is available at no extra 
charge if you have your own WiFi-equipped laptop. Off-street parking 
is usually available.

Your hosts live right next door. He's American, she's Mexican, and 
we're both bilingual. We're happy to offer tips on Guanajuato 
restaurants, language schools, things to see and do, and so on. 

The apartment is self-service. We supply fresh linens weekly. No 
smoking, please.

Activities and Attractions

Guanajuato is the ideal vacation spot for the visitor who wants to 
see the "real" Mexico. Though large enough to offer a wealth of 
museums, restaurants, and shopping, this historic colonial city is 
also small enough to be friendly and accessible to the first-time 
visitor. It's also the perfect place to learn Spanish, either at 
the University of Guanajuato or at a number of independent language 
schools. The three-week International Cervantino Festival in October 
is the biggest and most important cultural festival in all of Latin 
America. 

Vacation Rental Rates

Daily   US $45
Weekly  US $280

Rates during Cervantino Festival in October are $50 daily, $300 
weekly.

Monthly rates may also be available; please inquire.

Half of the rental is required to reserve the apartment. Payment may
be made via PayPal. Balance of payment is due in cash on arrival.
