Vacation Rental Description

This 6,500 square feet, contemporary design, beachfront home sits 25 
steps off the water, has spectacular views of the ocean and playa 
negra cost line. The stainless steel and giant windows blend with 
high teak wood ceilings and spanish tiles to create a unique open-
air design that captures the beauty of costa rica. 

The house is surrounded by tropical landscape and palms, has private 
access to an isolated quiet beach with spectacular tide pools and 
snorkeling. A short walk down the beach takes you to the famous surf 
spot of Playa Negra. 

A 4th level sky deck offers panoramic views of the coast line, 
unforgettable sunsets and incredible star gazing. 
The upper level of this beachfront home has two master bedroom 
suites with queen beds, spacious bath rooms and private decks with 
hammacks that overlook the pool and Pacific Ocean. The front entry 
and mid level is a panoramic delight with floor to vaulted ceiling 
windows on both sides giving you full ocean views to the west and 
majestic mountain views to your east. The main living area, 
overlooks the ocean and swimming pool, has a half bath powder room, 
an open fully equipped modern kitchen and grand dining room that 
seats 8 or more. With 4 large sliding glass doors that open out to 
the deck where the pool is located you have spectacular ocean views 
from any seat in the house. This mid level also has a 3rd bedroom 
suite with a queen bed, full bath and opens to the pool area with 
ocean views. The ground level has a game room with a ping pong table 
and wet bar, laundry room, a 4th large bedroom with 2 sets of bunk 
beds, full bath and a large 2 car garage. An outside shower, patio 
furniture, swimming pool and A/C throughout the house makes this an 
ideal indoor outdoor “pura vida” vacation home.

Our house is located in the exclusive private gated community of 
Rancho Playa Negra which is 30 minutes south from Tamarindo, and one 
hour and 20 minutes south from the Liberia airport. We are 10 
minutes by car to other gorgeous beaches such as Playa Avellances or 
Playa Blanca. There are numerous restaurants in the area that range 
from inexpensive local cousene to upscale Italian and European 
cousene.

Activities and Attractions

This tranquil and peaceful neighborhood was built around world class 
surfing. There are many american and foreign expats who have worked 
side by side with native costa ricans to make this neighborhood the 
special place that it is. Everyone who lives or visits this place 
must respect the beauty and tranquility that exists here. 

The competitive and dangerous surf spot of Playa Negra is within 
walking distance of the house. Out front is an incredibly large and 
fast reef break that is surfable in large south swells (must be 
experienced and strong surfer). Alternatively, there are safe flat 
sandy beaches in the area for beginner and surf lessons can be 
arranged at almost any time. Board rentals can be arranged at the 
Playa Negra beach hotel. 

The reef in front of the house offers fantastic tide pool watching, 
fishing and snorkeling. 

From the living room and deck there is world class bird watching. A 
salt water estuary is on the property which affords views of all 
sorts of wild life.  

Horse back riding can be arranged along the beaches. 
The beaches in this area are some of the prettiest and desolate in 
costa rica and make for fantastic morning walks and sea shell 
gathering. 

In the months of March and April there are regional rodeos in many 
of the surrounding towns. Soccer games occur on weekends in the town 
of Los Pargos. 

Should you not wish to venture out and enjoy the costa rica 
ambience, you can rest and relax in the solitude of this beautiful 
home in your private hammack on your own deck with a view over 
the ocean. 

Professional massage services can be arranged to come to the 
home at very affordable rates. 

If you tire of the beach life and heat, the rain forest and canopy 
tours are within a two hour drive by car. THe property manager can 
arrange for trips and provide guidance of when the best time to go.
