Elegant Mountain Hideaway in the Pines Overlooking Bear Creek
Near Yellowstone Park North Entrance.
Location: Above Gardiner, Yellowstone, Montana USA (Above Jardine,
just five view filled miles by mountain road to Yellowstone National
Park Entrance.
Accomodations: Vacation Rental Home - 10 Bedrooms plus 2 Queen

Bear Creek Hideaway is a guest home, less than 5 miles from
Yellowstone National Park, above Jardine, ideal for vacations,
reunions, or corporate retreats. We provide a fully-furnished home
with six spacious bedrooms and one small bedroom, three full
bathrooms, a modern kitchen with a reverse osmosis drinking water
system, and all the comforts of home. The dining room table will
seat 8 while a table in the eating area of the kitchen will seat
another 8-10. If you prefer to eat on the upper screened deck, the
table there will seat another 6.
Bear Creek Hideaway is close to all the wonders of Yellowstone
National Park and the surrounding area, yet conveniently located
near Gardiner's grocery store, post office, gift shops, restaurants
and art gallery. The Hideaway is approximately 80 miles from the
Bozeman Airport and 60 miles south of Livingston. For the
experienced pilot, there is a small 3400 foot asphalt airstrip
running between the Yellowstone River and Highway 89 just outside of
Gardiner that will handle small private aircraft.
The property is 4.96 acres surrounded by forests and trails leading
into Yellowstone National Park and the Absoroka/Beartooth Wilderness
Area. It is very quiet and private,up in the tall timber, with a
territorial view of the mountains in our valley. Short hikes from
our home give splendid views of Electric Peak or one can hike or
bike the wilderness trails to high mountain lakes. Many of these
lakes are full of trout just waiting to take your fly or lure.
Being so close to the National Forest and the Absoroka/Beartooth
Wilderness, the Bear Creek Hideaway makes an ideal base for groups
of hikers, mountain bikers, cross-country skiers, or hunters who
come here as a group to hunt deer, elk, or bear. There are also
special seasons for Mountain Lion, Mountain Goat, Bison, Moose, and
Bighorn Sheep. Most of these last animals require the drawing of a
special permit to hunt them. The area also lends Cross Country Skiing

VCR/DVD, CD Player, free wireless internet acess via satellite,
satellite TV (Dish Network), available fax service, central heating
with an additional gas wall heater in the living room/dining room
area, large modern kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator,
reverse osmosis drinking water system, cooking utensils, outdoor gas
grill, plates, cups, glasses, flatware, teapot, coffee maker(s),
coffee grinder, crockpot,linens and towels, washer and dryer, iron,
ironing board, all laundry and dish detergents, high-ceiling living
room, and a 33 foot long screened deck where some children have been
known to camp out on during the summer months. There is a table and
chairs on the deck where you can sit and listen to the sound of Bear
Creek tumbling below while sipping a glass of wine or drinking your
morning coffee. We do have available imported, gourmet, Costa Rican
Tarrazu coffee, both full city roast and medium roast, and an
excellent decaffeinated coffee for an extra charge. There are no
pets allowed and no smoking is allowed in the guesthouse. The wood
stoves in the guesthouse are for decorative purposes only. We do
have an area available for a night campfire should the guests desire
it.

Yellowstone National Park, hiking, mountain biking, and backpacking
to the park, the National Forest, and The Absoroka/Beartooth
Wilderness. There are local guides who conduct float trips for the
fantastic fly fishing on the Yellowstone River for Brown Trout,
Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout, Brook Trout, and Mountain
Whitefish. Horseback riding is available by the hour, day, or week
with local outfitters. There is whitewater rafting on the
Yellowstone with local rafting outfitters. Wildlife viewing,
photography tours, and shopping in both the Gardiner and Yellowstone
shops. There is a variety of restaurants in Gardiner and north of
town along Highway 89. For those interested in a little more speed
and adventure, there are miles of primitive roads and trails that
are just begging for Mountain Bikers. Just exploring the area in a
4x4 and enjoying the many views is adventure enough for many. And of
course, the area has some of the finest elk hunting in the entire
state of Montana. Yellowstone in the winter also offers many
activities such as cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and wildlife
watching such as bison, eagles, wolves.

Peak Season.. (May 15 through Sep 30) $600/night (5 night minimum)
Off Season.. (Oct 1 through May 14) $400/night (5 night minimum)
A $200 cleaning fee and a $500 Security Deposit are required, both
payable upon arrival.
A 50% Deposit is Required at time of booking to hold the
reservation, with the balance due upon arrival. A full refund, less
$200, will be made if notice of cancellation is received at least 60
days prior to scheduled arrival date. After that, there will be no
refund. All rates are subject to the Montana 7% Lodging Facility
Sales and Use Tax. We accept MC, VISA, AMEX, DISCOVER,checks and
certified funds for deposit, but the reservation is not confirmed
