Vacation Rental Description

This secluded mountain cabin is on 3 1/3 wooded acres in Scaly
Mountain Community, about 20 minutes from Highlands. The landscaping
includes natural wooded areas and wildflower gardens, and a 3' pool
with waterfall. The custom designed cabin features 2 levels with
separate entrances, perfect for 2 couples. The main room includes a
master bedroom with double bed, a full bath, kitchen, and spacious
great room (which can sleep another person on a couch that pulls out
to a single bed) with large windows overlooking beautiful mountain
scenery provide natural light and a wood stove takes the chill off of
cool mountain evenings. The great room opens onto a balcony that
extends the full length of the cabin, perfect for relaxing and
enjoying the mountain air and spectacular view. There is a covered
side porch with table, chairs and a porch swing. If you would like

Downstairs is a two room efficiency with a small refrigerator and
hotplate, a bedroom with twin beds, bath with large shower, and 
living
area with a queen size futon sofa bed. 

Gas heat and hot water, available throughout, but no A/C.  Upstairs
has ceiling vent-fan (which quickly sucks out any hot air which may
accumulate) and ceiling fan.

There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the cabin.  

Parking is available for both levels.  We never rent to 2 different
parties at the same time. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

Upstairs - fully-equipped kitchen upstairs with double sink,
microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, stove, refrigerator, pull out
cupboards, washer and dryer, towels and linens, wood stove, gas heat,
ceiling fan, telephone,  SAT TV and VCR/DVD, large balcony with
mountain view and covered porch with swing, picnic table, and 
charcoal
grill. 

Downstairs - refrigerator, hotplate and coffee maker, Satellite TV.

Vacation Rental Rates

The cabin has 2 floors with separate entrances.  A cleaning fee of 
$50 should be added if using the upper floor only and $75 if using 
both floors.  During the Winter months the rates are higher to 
include opening/closing and increased heating charges.  If you have 
a pet, there is a $40 pet fee.
May through September, $425 per week; $180/2-night weekend, $80 per 
extra day/s; $1,155 per month.
Holiday weeks/weekends: $475 per week; $250/2-night weekend;
$80/extra day/s.
October: $475 per week: $200 per weekend (2 nights), and $90/extra 
day/s, $1,750 per month.
November through April: $575 per week; $275 per weekend (2 night 
min.) $125 per extra night.  Add $80 if opening/closing is needed to 
protect pipes. $1,850 per month.
Payment may be made via PayPal with a 3.5% additional fee.  A 
reservation/security deposite of $200 is required when making
reservations.  This deposit is refundable after an approved cleaning
and inspection.  Please note:  If there is damage or something is
missing, this deposit is not refundable. Reservation must be at 
least 5 days in advance.
