Secluded Mountain Cabin with Beautiful Mountain View in Highlands

This secluded mountain cabin is on 3 1/3 wooded acres in Scaly
Mountain Community, about 20 minutes from Highlands. The landscaping
includes natural wooded areas and wildflower gardens, and a 3' pool
with waterfall. The custom designed cabin features 2 levels with
separate entrances, perfect for 2 couples. The main room includes a
master bedroom with queen bed, a full bath, kitchen, and spacious
great room (which can sleep another person on a couch that pulls out
to a single bed) with large windows overlooking beautiful mountain
scenery provide natural light and a wood stove takes the chill off of
cool mountain evenings. The great room opens onto a balcony that
extends the full length of the cabin, perfect for relaxing and
enjoying the mountain air and spectacular view. There is a covered
side porch with table, chairs and a porch swing. If you would like

Downstairs is a two room efficiency with a small refrigerator and
hotplate, a bedroom with twin beds, bath with large shower, and
living area with a full size futon sofa bed.

Gas heat and hot water, available throughout, but no A/C. Upstairs
has ceiling vent-fan (which quickly sucks out any hot air which may
accumulate) and ceiling fan.

There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the cabin.

Parking is available for both levels. We never rent to 2 different
parties at the same time.

Upstairs - A/C,fully-equipped kitchen upstairs with double sink,
microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, stove, refrigerator, pull out
cupboards, washer and dryer, towels and linens, wood stove, gas heat,
ceiling fan, telephone, SAT TV and VCR/DVD, Broadband Internet access, large balcony with mountain view and covered porch with swing, picnic table, and
charcoal grill.

Downstairs - refrigerator, hotplate and coffee maker, Satellite TV.

The cabin has 2 floors with separate entrances. A cleaning fee of
$75.
During the Winter months if opening and closing due to freezing
temperatures is necessary, a $110 charge will be added to the rental, whatever the length. Small dogs and cats welcome.  NO PET FEE, however any damage will void the return of security deposit.

April 1 - May 14: $645 per week; $275/2-night weekend, $100 extra night.

May 15 through September 30: $540 per week; $225/2-night weekend, $95 per extra day/s; $1,825 per month.  Add $50 per week and $25/weekend for a Holiday week

October: $645 per week: $275 per weekend (2 nights), and $100/extra day/s, $1,855 per month.  Add $50 per week and $25/weekend for a Holiday week.

Late Fall: $745 per week;  $125 per  night. $300 per weekend (2 nights).  4 night min.  Add $110 if opening/closing is needed to protect pipes. $1855 per month. 

Christmas to New Years:  $800 per week; Minimum 1 week. Extra weekday $125.  Extra charge of $110 if opening/closing is needed to protect pipes.

Winter months:  Jan 1, 2011 through March 30, 2012:  $1035 per week; , $2800 per month. Minimum stay 1 week.

Payment may be made via cashier's check, money order, or credit cards: VISA, MC, DISCOVER.

A reservation deposit of $200 for any rental 1 week or less, plus $100 more for each week after that. (1 month requires a $500 deposit). Balance of total due 30 days in advance of occupancy. No pet fee for 1 small dog or cat.  $75 cleaning fee.  $200 security/damage deposit per week rented, refundable if no damage, which is added to the total amount due.  You may add $39 for Damage Protection in lieu of refundable security deposit.  Payment must be made via cashiers checks, money orders and Credit Cards: VISA, MC, or Discover.  A 3% occupancy sales tax is required in this county of North Carolina, which will be added to the rental cost.  Reservation must by made at least 5 days in advance.
