vacation rental description

Welcome to the Fisherman's Cottage, a sweet all-season cottage in
historic Niagara-on-the-Lake! Come for a romantic vacation or a
private retreat in the village that has been designated "the
prettiest town in Canada."

Our charming cottage is located only steps away from Niagara-on-the-
Lake's Queen's Royal Park, where the Niagara River meets Lake
Ontario. The street is peaceful and residential, but it's just a
five-minute walk from the action of the village center.

Across the road, there is a small public park adjacent to the
river, leading past a tiny swimming beach to the town marina; the
view from the cottage looks across the river to Old Fort Niagara in
Youngstown, New York.

The village shops, restaurants, spas, marina, theatres, and
golf course (the oldest in North America, fronting Lake Ontario),
are all within a few blocks, and the Niagara region wineries and
tourist attractions of Niagara Falls are within a 20-minute drive
along beautiful parkways.

This is a perfect location from which to explore this beautiful
region.

cottage rental amenities

The cottage is nestled in a hill and surrounded by flowers and a
white picket fence. Trellises and arbours of roses, clematis, and
wisteria bloom throughout the summer, and the garden is terraced on
two levels.

On the lower garden level, a small brick patio with round table and
benches is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea, with garden,
streetscape, and river views. The upper level features a sweet
garden shed with an elevated deck, bistro table and chairs.

The cottage is also fully winterized for cold weather months.

The living room, dining room, and bedrooms are lovingly furnished
with interesting antiques. There is a TV/VCR and a collection of
tapes, books, and games.

There are two adjoining bedrooms with double beds, and one full,
four-piece bath. Linens and towels are provided, and fluffy duvets
for cozy winter nights.

The galley kitchen is fully equipped, with stove, refrigerator,
microwave, toaster, dishes, china, glassware, utensils, pots and
pans, coffee maker, and tea kettle. A portable washing machine and
clothes iron are available, with line drying in the sunny upper
garden.

Grocery store, banks, and post office are close by in the village
center.
