and a separate dining area. High ceilings in living area and two 
bedrooms. Beautiful wood floors throughout. Very large master 
bedroom is located on the left side of the house and on the right 
side you will find 2 other bedrooms and one full bath. When not used 
for sleeping, the third bedroom easily becomes a very bright and 
welcoming extra living space. Two bedrooms have large windows facing 
the lake. Upper scale home with a beautiful wood-burning fireplace 
in the living area, large windows for views of the lake and tall 
trees, and tasteful modern decorations throughout to the beautiful 
décor of this home. 

The house has a deck on the main living level and a partially 
covered patio area on the lower level. Multiple outdoor tables 
(deck, patio and lake-side).  Flat screen TV, stereo, DVD. Fully 
equipped kitchen. Washer/Dryer. Towels and linens provided.

Activities and Attractions

Perfect spot from which to explore Downeast Maine. Branch Lake is 
one of Maine's premier lakes -- 6 miles long, 120+ feet deep, clean 
and clear (it's the drinking water supply for the town of 
Ellsworth). Great swimming, fishing, boating. 30 minutes to 
Acadia National Park (great hiking).  Close to several charming 
towns (Ellsworth, Surry, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor, Castine, Brooklin, 
etc.). While close to all these places, the house itself is 4 miles 
off the highway, via dirt roads.

Available year-round. Fall is for foliage and festivals (as well as 
boating, swimming, hiking, etc.). Winter is for quiet, exquisitely 
beautiful landscapes, and a host of winter sports.  Spring is the 
great awakening -- fishing and birdwatching are both at their best --
 a chance to savor the long days without the summer crowds. Summer 
hardly needs mentioning -- boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, 
relaxing, eating -- classic Maine!

Vacation Rental Rates

$2100 per week in 6/28/08 through 9/13/08.  
$1250 per week 9/15/07 through 6/28/08.
Weekly rentals run Saturday-Saturday.
