Welcome to Hacienda Las Trancas. This huge, old ex-hacienda midway
between San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, is situated outside Dolores Hidalgo in a small, safe, friendly village. Once a presidio, or fort, along the silver trail in 1567, it became a hacienda in the 1700's. Walls are meter- thick adobe. Beautiful, rustic elegance, furnished with colonial antiques and local artisan pieces. Private, fully staffed, including 20 full-time cooks, maids, gardeners, bilingual manager and concierges, massage therapists, and stable/pool personnel.

Luxurious bedding with high thread-count linens and feather beds,
plus down duvets. There are 11 beautiful bedrooms, ten of which are incredible suites, with satellite t.v and high-speed internet, hot-and-cold water dispensers, sitting area, private terraces, propane fireplaces, and beautiful views of the Sierra Madres. The hacienda is approximately 50 rooms, more than 40,000 sq. ft. under roof, with ten walled-in private acres. There are gardens and enormous porches. Practice your soccer skills on our field, basketball on the court, or invite the locals to a game of volleyball on our private sand court. Spend a few hours riding the
horses down to the river and watch the bald eagles. Work out in our 17-piece Cybex gym, then relax with the help of our private massage therapists in the hacienda spa.

Wander the charming streets and cobbled alleys of Guanajuato. Chauffeur available for reasonable fee, also very knowledgeable bilingual guide for trail rides (horse, car, or mountain bike,) and seeing historic silver trail locations that most tourists NEVER see.
