Hale Ho’omana Spa Retreat is an intimate, day spa specializing in traditional Hawaiian Therapies. Located on the Upcountry slopes of Maui’s pristine Mt. Haleakala, this beautiful and serene retreat is tucked away from the busy tourist locations. Our property is set amidst aromatherapy herbal gardens, tropical fruit trees, and Native botanicals. We offer clean and comfortable accommodations for couples, families, and groups. This lovely retreat is owned and operated by a native Hawaiian family committed to assisting you in creating an unforgettable Maui vacation for your personal, family or group retreat of up to 16 guests. All accommodations are quiet, quaint and inviting. Furnished in island style décor, it won’t take you long to relax into island living. Many of our guests have said that our comfortable pillow top mattresses and the fresh upcountry climate have given them their best nights sleep on Maui. 

The Hale Nui or “main house” is a private, fully equipped, three bedroom, two baths, and tropical villa. The Hale Nui’s spacious great room is elegant yet casual with high open beam ceilings, sky lights, and garden views. The lanai affords plenty of room for outdoor lounging providing a perfect setting for families, groups, or romantic couples to enjoy. Pass an outdoor evening BBQing, surrounded by the scent of night blooming jasmine while viewing one of the most magnificent stargazing on in the islands.

If you love to cook, the Hale Nui kitchen will have you feeling like a pampered chef, with all your culinary needs for group entertaining. Looking for fresh island ingredients? Take a walk around our 2 acres where you will find guava, papaya, bananas and avocados. Step right out your front door and grab any culinary herbs your tastes desire. 

Our Upcountry location put’s you close to mountain and ocean activities and far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of country living. Hale Ho’omana is located just minutes from Historic Makawao town, epic surfing and windsurfing destination at Ho’okipa, and sandy beaches of Paia town.

Hale Ho’omana Spa Retreat also offers exclusive cultural education tours, and activities designed to deepen your understanding of Hawaii’s history, geography, language, and cultural practices. We have an exclusive Hawaiian day spa offering an array of indigenous therapies including Hawaiian therapeutic massage and spa treatments. Sink into an herbal tea bath incorporating herbal formulations picked from our gardens, exfoliate with an herbal salt or sugar scrub, or melt away muscle tension with a hot stone treatment. All treatments utilize organic Hawaiian herbal products handcrafted in Maui. We also offer sacred sites tours, authentic luau gatherings, and traditional Hawaiian sweat lodge ceremonies through our sanctuary of Hawaiian culture.

Accommodations: 16 guest count for group retreats, many options for family or couples.  Vacations rentals, Beds are convertible twin beds become king size sleeping arrangements. All accommodations are subject to tax at 13.42%. There will be one night complimentary for stays of 7 nights or more. Retreat/Workshop Rate: $45 + tax per night group rate for shared accommodations in single beds. 

Hibiscus Room: 2 twins or king bed, shared bath, breakfast included, separate entrance, $85 per night.

Hawaiian Room: 2 twins or king bed, shared bath, breakfast included, separate entrance, $80 per night.

Aloha Room:  2 twins or king bed, private bath, breakfast included, $95 per night.

Lehua Room: Studio cottage, private bath, private lanai, kitchenette (sleeps 2)-$100 per night and $50 cleaning fee added to total.

Makena Room: Studio cottage, private bath tub/shower, private lanai, full kitchen, (sleeps 2-4)-$110 per night and $75 cleaning fee added to total.

Hale Nui House: 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, private lanai, full kitchen, common living room (sleeps 6) $265 per night and $150 cleaning fee added to total.
