vacation rental description
This spectacularly designed, meticulously renovated and fully
equipped 3200 sq. ft. structure is consists of a huge 2 story open
plan kitchen, dining and entertaining area with 4 seating groups;
there is a dramatic spiral staircase at the center. On the first
floor of the sleeping quarters are two bedrooms, one with a queen
bed and one with two twins. There is a full bath downstairs.
Upstairs is a larger bedroom with a queen bed; this bedroom uses a
fabulous bathroom with a 8 person sauna with an entrance to a large
deck. There is a washer/dryer upstairs, and all towels, linens and
household equipment are on hand.
The kitchen features a SubZero refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher
and a built in microwave in a large cooking island; there are many
beautiful glass and wood cabinets and plenty of prep space. A
dining table for six is in the 2 story "silo" at the side of the
house; extra chairs and tables accommodate 16 for dinner. There are
2 T.V.s, a DVD player, Directv (satellite), WiFi, and a land line .
Outdoors, our guests share with our family use of a brand new
20' X 40' gunnite pool with an '8 X 8' hot tub. There are two decks
and outdoor furniture and a grill. The barn shares 10 acres with
the 12,00 sq. ft. main house; behind the houses is Bald Head
Mountain. An intermittant waterfall flows down the mountain into a
stream alongside the Barn. The property is one third of a mile to
the main entrance to Tanglewood, and 2 miles from downtown Lenox.
Under Mountain Rd joins up with Main St. and two other roads to form
a a 5 mile loop overlooking the horse farm and valley. It is a
favorite with walkers, bicyclers, etc.
