After your busy day come home to our cozy cabin for a spectaular star show from our deck and a soak in the hot tub.  Our cabin is perfect place!!!   

 If you're looking for the perfect family vacation or a couples get-a-way this is the place for you!  I built this cabin as a place to gather with family and friends, to reconnect with those you love and to relax and find peace - I think you will find all that here.

This beautiful newly built log home (May 2006)is located just
outside of Boone in the gated community of Powder Horn
Mountain. "Heaven in the Hills" is a 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath cabin
with the BEST view on the mountain! It offers 2 large decks, a
screen porch and a new Hot Tub to sit outside and watch the
everchanging sky or the spectacular star show on a clear night. You
may even see deer, wild turkey and plenty of other wildlife just
outside your door! This home has Heat & Air conditioning, Gas Log
Fireplace, a fully appointed Kitchen with Dishwasher, Microwave, and
Flat Surface Stove, Outdoor Gas Grill, Washer/Dryer, 4 TV's with
Satelite Receivers (my husbands idea!), 2 DVD & VCR players and
plenty of board games to play with the family! New Pillow Top
Mattresses and a Private Bath for each bedroom makes this the
perfect place to share with friends and family. No worries - All bed
linens and towels are provided.

"Heaven in the Hills" has 3 Bedrooms and 3 1/2 Baths and accomodates
up to 9 people - MAXIMUM! It has 2 Queen beds, 1 Bunk Bed with a Twin
over Full and trundle bed, 1 Queen sleeper Sofa.
Spend your days Fishing in the 3 lakes (catch and release only!),
Hiking the many beautiful trails located in the community, Swimming
in the community pool, Paddleboating with the kids, or enjoying a
game of Ping-Pong, Pool or Air Hockey in the Club House. They also
have a Tennis court, a Basketball goal and Picnic areas near the
Creek. If never leaving the house is your thing, relax in the hot
tub with the wonders of nature all around you!

If you do want to go out for the day there are many wonderful places
to explore. Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain,
Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns and Mast General
Store are just some of the great places to visit. There is also
Horseback Riding, Kayaking, Fly Fishing, and of course, Skiing in
the winter and Golfing in the summer. Most of these activities are
just a short 20-45 minute beautiful country drive from the house.
Another option - Take a relaxing drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway
with its breathtaking views - What a wonderful way to spend the
day! The Parkway entrance is located minutes from Powder Horn
Mountain.
Whatever the season, there is always something to do at "Heaven in
the Hills"!

I hardly know where to begin as it seems words are inadequate to

We chose your cabin in Deep Gap, NC for one of our two family
vacations... We usually go to the beach as my family has always gone to Myrtle and we got in a rut. I decided to do something different.
Terry your home on Powder Horn Mountain is beautiful, peaceful, and
welcoming. From the moment we walked in we felt we were home. We have done a lot of private rentals but truly this was the BEST!
I found myself at one point standing on the deck with tears in my eyes
as I reflected on the fact this was the most relaxed I have felt in a very long time. All your little touches and extra efforts make people want to not only nestle in but treat it like home.
Amazing, you have a gift.

Off-Season rates are November (except Thanksgiving), December (except Christmas and New Year's holiday), Jan, Feb, March and April (except Easter weekend)!  Weekend rates are only $165/night and only $145/weekday!!!!!!!  2-night mimimum required. 

Summer rates are $185/night with a 2 night minimum.  Weekly rates are $1,110 which includes the 7th night FREE! Room tax, cleaning fee and security deposit are additional fees.
