Vacation Rental Description

For your Dream Vacation, my 1,050 sq. ft., 2 BR, 2BA, Direct Beach Front, Ground Floor, Corner Condo 
could be what you're looking for. With so many Maui condos for you to choose from, this is my one 
chance to tell you what I think sets mine apart from the others.  

There aren't many condos right on the beach, where you can swim or snorkel right in front of them. 
And there aren't many condos where you can sit on the lanai and watch Humpback Whales out in Maalaea 
Bay. A prior guest once told me "when I walked in and saw the view of the ocean from the living 
room, I was delighted. When I walked out to the lanai, the spectacular views of Maui's entire south 
coast, took my breath away.  Every morning I sat and watched the sun come up over Haleakala.  It was 
truly, an indescribable experience". 

Our complex is one of only three in Maalaea that is right on a sandy beach. The other seven are on a 
rocky reef with no swimming.  Almost half the complexes have coin $$ operated laundry rooms (sit and 
wait), and parking lots far from the condos,  forcing  you  to carry your bags quite a distance. Two 
buildings are right next to the busy Maalaea Harbor, with its traffic,  noise and boat fumes.  

The Kanai A Nalu is considered the best property in Maalaea.  Free parking is provided just steps 
from our door, and with the convenience of being on the ground floor, you have no stairs, or 
elevators to deal with.  We have our own in-unit washer/dryer saving you time and money. There are 
beautiful tropical grounds, lush green lawns, 4 BBQ's, a lovely natural, free-form pool (ione of the 
few that's heated in winter), and a convenient beachside shower, to rinse off after your swim. We 
are located almost at the end of cul-de-sac. There is very little traffic. It is very tranquil and 
quiet.  

My condo is directly on Kealia beach.  A little ways past our building the beach runs parallel to a 
Wildlife Refuge. No development is allowed along this "Government Protected" beach because the 
endangered Sea Turtle lay their eggs here.  It becomes Sugar Beach and runs for almost five miles, 
all the way to Kihei. Take a morning walk, and you may not see another person.   It's like your own 
private paradise.  This is the most un-crowded beach on Maui. If you want crowds, you'll need to go 
to kihei Lahaina or Wailea.  

Our condo is not an "interior" unit that shares two common walls. These have only one window in 
their master, and their second bedroom window opens to a busy walkway or parking lot, allowing 
strangers to look in. They must keep the blinds closed for privacy.  My Corner Condo has NO 
Neighbors on one side.  It is quieter, more private and has incredible 180-degree views of Maui's 
So. Coast from the front corner, master bedroom's large wall-to-wall windows (in two walls). Our 
second bedroom has views of the ocean, the lush tropical grounds, and the pool. 

Our bedrooms ARE NOT "loft" style, or the type that uses a flimsy sliding door or curtain to close 
them off from the living room. These offer almost no privacy. Ours are traditional, full size 
bedrooms with solid walls and locking doors.  In the master is a $2,600 King size "Sleep Numbers" 
adjustable bed with dual remotes. You can adjust the softness or firmness of each side. This 
provides for a wonderful nights sleep. Two twin beds in the 2nd bedroom can be pushed together to 
create another king. The bedrooms have lovely bedding, beautiful window blinds, cooling ceiling fans 
and Cable TVs. 
 
We have a $2,600.00 "Sleep Numbers" King bed, free High Speed Internet, remote controlled air 
conditioning, two wall mounted hair dryers, a 3/4 size crib, and a newer mattress on the Sleeper 
sofa. In 2007, we did more upgrades and replaced worn and damaged items. I installed elegant new 
counter tops in the kitchen, an exotic woven bamboo bar front and attractive new ceiling fans in 
each bedroom and each bathroom.  The condo has six fans total, including the remote controlled air 
to keep you cool.  I bought all new pillows, designer bedding and 300 ct. sheets for the “Sleep 
Numbers” King, and new foam toppers and soft mattress covers for the twin beds. There is a new 
comforter and sheets for the newer queen mattress on the sleeper sofa.  I also bought a toaster 
oven, new kitchen accessories, new beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, new beach towels, new 
bath towels and I added new décor in both bathrooms. I bought a DVD player for the master (there is 
also a DVD/VHS player in the living room).  I repainted and added a safe for my guest's valuables. 
In 2008 I bought new pillow-top mattresses for the twin beds. I go often to keep the condo updated 
and beautiful for my family and my guests.

Due to the previous owner being in a wheelchair,  the doorways are wider and the master shower is 
larger than most. Also, the lanai is twice the normal size.   He was given permission to enlarge it, 
to 
accommodate his wheelchair,  plus tables and chairs. It extends beyond the normal lanais, increasing 
our view even further. It has two tables and six chairs instead of the normal four. With large 
groups of guests, everyone can be together. Our condo is wheelchair accessible, and handicap parking 
is right out our back door.    

We have a full size kitchen with new counter tops, a new cooktop on the stove, new toaster oven, 
cookware, dishes,  and appliances including a dishwasher, large stove, microwave, a large fridge 
with an ice-maker, a toaster, blender, coffee maker and our own in-unit washer and dryer. 

Also redecorated,  the master bath has an over sized  (wheelchair accessible),   tiled shower with 
both wall-mounted, and hand held showerheads. The other bathroom has a full size tub, sliding doors 
and a shower above. They are accented with lovely nickel plated faucets, seashell themed art,  plush 
decorator towels, rugs, and  new paint. Each has a new wall-mounted "hotel quality" hair dryer.

Activities and Attractions

What's near by:

About 1/4 mile away  (almost within walking distance) is an area called the "Maalaea Village".   
There you will find seven great restaurants from casual to 4-Star, and most have ocean or harbor 
views.  The harming "Harbor Shops" shopping complex. There is also the Maalaea Harbor where boats 
leave on snorkeling, dinner and sunset cruises.  During winter they leave on hourly "Whale Watching" 
trips out in Maalaea Bay.  Next to the Harbor is the renowned Maui Ocean Center,  a world-class 
Hawaiian aquarium with a clear glass,  walk through "under water tunnel" allowing you to view 
sharks, manta rays and beautiful tropical fish without getting wet.  At the entrance to Maalaea is 
Carl's Jr. (for a fast meal), a 76 gas station,  the Maui Golf and Sports Park for guests of all 
ages. It features two fun andchallenging miniature golf courses,  a natural 4,000 sq. ft. lagoon 
with water falls,  bumper boats,  water blaster guns, rock climbing and an X-Treme Trampoline. We 
also have the Trade-Winds Mini Mart & Deli. 

The drive from the Kahului airport is only 12 minutes on a modern four lane highway.

$225/night...May, Oct, Nov & December NON-HOLIDAYS (5 night minimum)
$245/night...June, July and August (7 night minimum)

$255/night...Thanksgiving Holiday (7 night minimum)
$285/night...Christmas through New Years.  (14 night minimum)  dates can vary

Rates are for 2-4 guests. Extra guest is $10 per night. Minimum stay is 5 nights unless noted 
otherwise. $500 refundable security deposit required with booking. 
 
Balance due 60 days prior to arrival. 10% discount given for extended stays (4 weeks or more). 5% 
discount for repeat guests (discounts can not be combined.

Rates do not include 11.42% Hawaii state taxes. Credit Cards,  or Personal Checks accepted.
