The Heritage Place is the perfect get-away location for families
looking for a relaxing vacation at the beach. This historic landmark
home was just recently renovated and remodeled. This home just
recently became available as a vacation rental in March 2007.

This is right next door to The Yellow Cottage and The Corey House. If
rented all together the 3 homes on this property can accommodate a
group as large as 22.

The Heritage Place has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and can sleep up to
13 people - it is perfect for large families or groups. There are 8
beds in the home. The upstairs master suite has a king size bed and
two twin beds. The second master suite has a king size bed and one
twin bed, the third and fourth bedrooms have queen beds and there is a
queen size sofa bed in the family room area.

The gourmet kitchen offers marble counter tops, large butcher block
center island, high end stainless steel Viking appliances including a
6 burner gas stove, double oven and sub zero refrigerator. This home
comes with all the kitchen appliances and cooking utensils you will
need to create any meal, including place settings for 18. The dining
area has two dining tables that can be put together or split apart to
create extra space for more people.

There are three bathrooms in the home. Two on the lower level and the
master bath upstairs - all with custom tile work and marble counter
tops. Each shower has a handheld spouts as well as rainfall shower
head. The bathtub in the downstairs bathroom is a deep jetted jacuzzi
tub - very relaxing and luxurious.

The floors in this home are unique as well. Half of the home consists
of the restored historic original wood floors from the early 1900's,
the rest of the home is covered with new state of the art colored
concrete floors with heating throughout, so your feet with never be cold.

The home has a great wood deck with lots of room for sun bathing. Plus
the yard area includes an outdoor dining table with seating for 8, a
gourmet gas BBQ grill and sunken, hot and bubbly Jacuzzi. There is
also a large grass area - perfect for a game of afternoon catch or
kickball.

The beach is only a short 2.5 block walk and we provide bicycles,
boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, beach towels and coolers, so
that you can better enjoy the area the way we do. This home is located
in Windansea, a quiet residential community of La Jolla that is close
to the beach and only 6 blocks to La Jolla Village's stores, galleries
and restaurants.

Plus for families with small children, we provide a pak-n-play crib, highchair, noise monitor and baby gates with the rental of this home. You can also rent additional items such as a full size crib, jogging stroller, etc. for an
additional delivery fee.

This home has both cable TV and Wireless internet to ensure that you stay connected while on vacation. . In addition, you can order food and dairy products to be delivered to the home prior to your arrival. Your order will be
charged to your credit card. To cancel or change your order, please
contact us before 5pm PST the day prior to your arrival. For a

activities and attractions in La Jolla San Diego Area

The Heritage Place is only a three block walk to the beach. This is a great spot to enjoy a glorious sunset, dine in the sand, or swim in the refreshing ocean. If
you are a walker or a runner, you will enjoy the three-mile RT jaunt
to the La Jolla Cove and back. Many locals make this trek daily. On
Sundays you can enjoy walking up to the La Jolla Farmer's Market where
produce, flowers, handmade gifts and gourmet items are sold.

Also nearby are the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland,
Torrey Pines Golf Course, Balboa Park, Old Town, Carlsbad Flower
Fields, and Coronado Island.

About 1/2 mile from The Heritage Place is the public La Jolla Tennis
Club and Recreation Center. Almost every evening and on weekends,
locals engage in "pick-up" games at the Recreation Center basketball
courts. Summer programs (i.e. Day Camps) for children are available
daily. The Recreation Center also houses a gym for adults and a
playground for children. Scuba diving at the La Jolla Cove Natural
Reserve, surfing at the many La Jolla beaches, and kayaking at the La
Jolla Shores are other activities locals and visitors enjoy.

Other places of interest and all within walking distance or less than
a 5 minute drive include the Cove Theater, an old movie house that
specializes in foreign films, the renowned La Jolla Museum of
Contemporary Art, the Pannekin Cafe; (the very first European style
coffee shop in San Diego County), several fine galleries, and of
course, a host of wonderful unique shops. The town boasts numerous
churches and temples (Presbyterian, Catholic, Episcopalian, Jewish,
Quaker, etc.) For those looking to be pampered, the luxurious SK Day
Spa is located only one block away. Families can also enjoy touring
the newly renovated La Jolla Scripps Aquarium. The La Jolla Playhouse
on the grounds of the University of California at San Diego offers
superb theatre performances.

Also within walking distance or a very short drive are numerous
upscale restaurants or local haunts. i.e.: Harry's (an old-time coffee
shop specializing in breakfasts), La Valencia Hotel and Whaling Bar,
Sammy's Wood Fired Pizza, George's at the Cove, Alfonso's, El
Ranchero, Bully's, The Mandarin House, The Fish Market, The Marine
Room, to mention a few. There is a breakfast-bagel restaurant and an
ice-cream store just two blocks away. And for the connoisseur of
down-home Mexican food, there are several outstanding taco shops nearby.

Other activities close to you while staying at the Heritage Place
include Sightseeing, Shopping, Hiking, Biking, Golf, Tennis,
Basketball, Bird Watching, Horseback Riding, Whale watching, Fishing,
Boating, Sailing, Water skiing, Wind surfing, Para-sailing,
Jet-skiing, Swimming, Snorkeling, Diving, Surfing, Beachcombing and
Shelling (just to name a few).

$5,500/week or $917/night during Mid Season
$6,500/week during the Summer season - weekly basis from Saturday -
Saturday only

**These rates do not include a 10.5% tax, cleaning fee and refundable
security deposit
**We require a minimum 3 night rental during the Winter and Holiday
