Unique, one of a kind experience. Large thirty-foot yurt (700 square
feet) nestled in the mountains, overlooking Santa Barbara and the
ocean. Yurts are large, round, open structures with high ceilings
reaching to a large central skylight. The walls are made from a
heavy,
insulated material and supported by a wooden lattice. Very spacious
and

Includes a full kitchen, exterior bath
house, wood stove, trapeze bar, king-size bed, hardwood floors, and a
large deck
with great views. Great place to look at stars.
All wood work is built with reclaimed logs from Santa Barbara's native
trees, solar hot water, earth friendly soaps,
and a grey water system. Located on the Bjorklund ranch, just 15
minuites from downtown Santa Barbara and the beaches. Ideal for all
season.

Large, antique claw-foot tub. The best shower you've ever
had, featuring a large, high-flow shower head and plenty of hot
water.
New California king-size bed with goose down-comforter. Airtight wood
stove with glass front. Plenty of firewood provided. Kitchen nook
with new glass-top stove for those who love to cook, mid-size
refrigerator stocked with coffee makings, and homemade redwood
desk.
Jacuzzi available, just a short walk on local trails, and shared with
others on the ranch.
Bjorklund Ranch is a 10 acre piece of beautiful land, overlooking
Santa Barbara. We are a small community of nice people. Owner of this
ranch is Angy Bjorklund, age 80! She has lived here for over 50 years.
She is one of the first Bohemians in this area and a really fun,
creative lady. Her son, Rob has a sawmill and enjoys saving logs from
the city from going into the landfill. He uses the wood to build
furniture, decks, and unique hard wood flooring. THis is a working
ranch during the hours of 10a.m-3 p.m. You may hear some wood working
equipment, or landscaping tools. You are welcome to take a walk on one
of the many creative trails and check out whats happening around the
ranch! We have a nice walk to the creek, with swimming holes and a
waterfall.
We are trying to become a permaculture eco-village. We recycle
everything we can, compost kitchen scraps, and use
biodegradable/earthfriendly soaps in the yurt. Please help us to keep
our sysem working and choose wisely when bringing your own soaps. We
provide soaps also. Bubble bath highly recommended!

Santa Barbara is well known for its beaches, downtown shopping,
historic Spanish buildings, beautiful weather and gorgeous views.
Activities include boardwalk biking, mountain biking and hiking,
ocean boating (whale watching or day trips to nearby Channel
Islands),
vibrant night life, and much more. Just over the mountains is the
quaint town of Solvang with its famous wineries (location for the
movie "Sideways"), Danish shops and restaurants, hang gliding and
glider tours, and Indian casino gambling and entertainment.

These rates are based on double occupancy. Additional persons will

Pets are $10 additional per day.
50.00 cleaning fee

Rates are subject to change at any time, prior to receiving a deposit
check.
If, for any reason beyond our control, we can't rent the yurt
anymore, we are only responsible to return your deposit. Thank you.
