Let the gentle sounds of Seals and waves lull you to sleep at night!
The hideaway is located right at the top of the access road that leads
to Crescent Bay! You could not get any closer if you drove down here
and parked at 2AM! (the nicest public parking spot at Crescent Bay is
right in front of our house!)
THE BEACH: Crescent Bay was listed by the LA Times as one of the top
five beaches in Southern California! The beach itself is about two
blocks long, a sandy bottom (so you won't stub your toes) with rocky
points on both sides to provide hours of skin diving! Because of the
sandy bottom, and other factors, Crescent Bay does not have lots of dead
seaweed accumulate on it (like many of the other beaches in Laguna). (I
hate dead seaweed because it attracts flies... that crawl all over you. Ug!)
Because of where Crescent Bay is located, it is a Mecca for Scuba and Skin
Diving in Southern California! Shaws cove is just south of us. Both beaches
are used by Scuba Traning classes because of their easy access and sandy bottoms.
Crescent Bay is great for Bodysurfing, Boogie Boarding, Skimming, Tide Pooling,
Sand Crab hunting, Grunion Hunting (everything you want in a beach)! It even
has a bathroom and shower (one of the few such beaches in Laguna!).
THE HIDEAWAY: Folks, this place is BIG! It boasts that it is the largest two
bedroom apartment on the ocean side of Coast Highway.
1. The largest 2 br/2ba on the ocean side of Coast Highway: 1,800 Sq Ft!
2. Large enough to easily sleep eight (8)! This place is roomy!
3. A kitchen fully equipped with a table (and chairs) that can seat 12!
4. Both bathrooms exit to the deck and to the beach (which facilitates
use by Gender or by Family)!
5. Comfortable seating, including reclining chairs (2)!
6. Family friendly, kid proof, game closet
7. Internet Connectivity (wired and wireless) w/a complementary computer
for your use while at the Hideaway.
8. Beach Umbrellas, Chairs, Boogie Boards, Shovels, Sand Toys, Extra
Wetsuits (20) some Masks & Snorkels and a lot of fins,
9. An Owner who was raised in Laguna, Lifeguarded every beach in
Laguna, and can tell you exactly what is below the surface at each spot!
The Deck: Folks, our deck is BIG and exclusively yours to use while here!
Since this deck is close to 1,000 SF and the inside is about 1,800 SF the
total room to relax is almost 3,000 SF. Believe me, you won't be stumbling
over those you cared enough to have with you on your vacation!
1. Ocean view deck where you can watch the Dolphins and Whales swim
by. When you get tired of that, watch the boats and waves or close
your eyes and listen to the waves and Seals! Since this deck is
right at the Lifeguard entrance to Crescent Bay, simply watching the
beautiful people going to and from the beach is entertaining as well!
2. Large Table, 6 chairs, 2 lounge chairs and many additional folding
chairs.
3. Blow up pool suitable for children! (Let the kids play while you
kick back and rest from your last beach session or read that book you
have been meaning to read for years!)
4. Your deck can be made secure for the kids. The hedge is grown to
just the right height to give you privacy while being able to see the
sights!
5. In the evening, the deck is equipped with Malibu Lighting with just
the right light so that you can enjoy your guests and the general
ambiance.
Sunburn: A Sunburn (for kids or adults) can ruin your whole vacation!
The beach is only 30 seconds away (1 minute if your are over 50 like me)!
That means, you are close enough to the beach to get out of the hot mid-day
Sun, avoid that burn and actually eat lunch without sand in it! Because
you do not have to find a parking spot, you will not be tempted to stay at the beach too long.
Parking: With an extremely popular beach like Crescent Bay, parking is a
real problem... except for our guests! We have private off street parking for you.
There are many vacation rentals that simply do not have parking... and believe me,
there is nothing that will steal your joy faster than spending more time looking
for a parking spot than you do on the beach!
Frankly, the biggest reasons that this vacation rental is booked so
much are for the following reasons:
1. You are close to the nicest beach in Southern California. (The
owner is an old lifeguard who has guarded all of the Laguna Beaches,
and will happily tell you why this beach is second to none).
2. The owners are committed to providing the best vacation to you and your family that they can. The results of this committment may be seen in our guests comments... which can be seen in our private website (Vacation Rentals does not provide a link to our private website). We will provide this to you upon receiving an inquiry.
