If you are looking for a home away from home, look no further than
the Sioux Lodge. It has all the amenities of home with all the charm
of Montana. We've taken great pride in all the details to make our
home warm, friendly and inviting. Since the home is on two levels,
there is always a quiet spot to read or kick back.

We have stocked the home with tons of literature, board games,
videos and video games so you will always have plenty to do. And the
views of Lone Mountain are dramatic from every room in the home. The
Sioux Lodge has an instant charm and comfort that wraps you in
luxury.

This four bedroom, three and a half bath home is absolute luxury.
This house is perfect for families and for entertaining friends.
Located on a gorgeous bluff just above Big Sky Resort's mountain
village, it is minutes from the Mountain Village and even closer to
the White Otter ski lift (private street access) just two minutes
from the home. Every single room has stunning views of Lone Peak.

Containing 3200 feet of luxury living on two levels, the house
includes a first floor master with jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
On the upper level you will find a stunning great room with
expansive windows and views of Lone Peak, cozy furniture, and a
floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace. On the lower level, you will
find three bedrooms (one bedroom has it's own private bath!), two
additional baths, a recreation room with satellite TV, and a
special 'kids' room with two sets of bunk beds. (Crib and high chair
also supplied). The house also has over 900 feet of deck space in

including a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with all the tools, a

year, 3600 skiable acres, and runs as long as six miles!

Big Sky, Montana is also famous for short lift lines and tons of
open, light powder skiing in beautiful country. Montana is all about
open space and elbow room and you will find this at Big Sky!

You will also find the brand new Moonlight Basin resort adjacent to
Big Sky. Moonlight's trail network's predominantly north-facing
exposure ensures that snow will stay dry and fluffy than that found
at most other resorts. Most of our guest find that they can ski
different runs each day if they desire with short lift lines and
mountains all to themselves! Between Moonlight and Big Sky, you will
find 5600 skiable acres of light, dry powder skiing.

Summertime activities are endless with Yellowstone just 45 minutes

Activities and Attractions

Winter Activities:

It is hard for some to believe, but the Big Sky area has two of the
best western ski resorts in close proximity. Between the
established Big Sky Ski Resort operated by Boyne USA and the newest
ski resort in the West, Moonlight Basin, there are over 5,600
skiable acres (more than Jackson Hole, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Vail,
Deer Valley and Squaw Valley. In addition to 5600 skiable acres, the
resorts feature 4350 feet of vertical, over 400 inches of dry, light
powder, and 190 plus runs as long as 6 miles.

The Big Sky Resort is centered around the mountain village situated
just below our gorgeous 4 bedroom log accented home. There are ski
lifts within ¼ mile of the home along with the mountain village main
parking lot being less than a 5 minute drive.

In addition to the Big Sky resort, the Moonlight Basin resort
borders the northern flank of the Big Sky Resort. Moonlight
Basin's location on the Madison Range's famed Lone Mountain assures
more than 400 inches of light, dry powder snow each year. And the
trail network's predominantly north-facing exposure ensures that
snow will stay drier and fluffier than that found at most other
resorts. Most of our guests find that they can ski different runs
each day if they desire with short lift lines and mountains all to
themselves!

And we might add, kids 10 and under ski free at Big Sky resort.

Although skiing is the focus in the winter season (Thanksgiving to
early April), there are a number of other tremendous opportunities
to consider in between ski runs.

First of all, the world famous Yellowstone National Park is about 45
minutes away. The wonders of Yellowstone park are really beyond
words. Yellowstone Park has over 2.2 million acres of the most
varied and fascinating terrain that only our creator could fashion.
The park includes thousands of geothermal wonders, abundant Western
wildlife, the gorgeous Yellowstone blue ribbon trout river and the
20 plus mile Yellowstone lake just to name a few highlights.

Snowmobiling in Big Sky and Yellowstone Park offers an unparalleled
opportunity to experience Montana's backcountry. You may choose to
visit Yellowstone by either snowmobile or snow coach, available
through many rental companies and guides in West Yellowstone, only
48 miles away. Locally, there are miles and miles of snowmobile
trails into the Gallatin National Forest. Snowshoeing, dog sledding
and snow-cat skiing are also popular activities in the area, as are
horseback riding and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Local companies offer
a wide variety of ways to experience Montana's great outdoors in the
winter.

After a long day of Big Sky winter adventure, you can relax at many
spas located in three convenient locations in the Mountain Village.
Big Sky is home to many restaurants, offering everything from
homemade pizza, burgers and ribs to wild game and thick juicy
steaks.

Summer Activities:

For world class fly-fishing, none would dispute Montana as one of
the premier domestic destinations. The famed Gallatin is so close to
the Sioux Lodge, you can have your flies in the water in less than
15 minutes.

Big Sky has the rare privilege of close proximity to the world class
Gallatin river, a true blue ribbon trout stream. And just one valley
to the east and west lay two other world class rivers, the Madison
and the Yellowstone.

In addition, tucked away in the Rockies lay countless small bodies
of water that can be reached by hiking or pack animals that lay home
to trout you have only dreamed about! There is so much high
potential water in the area, you could spend weeks hitting just the
most productive spots! Montana trout counts in these waters reach as
high as 3000 to 4000 trout per river mile...amazing!

Just one such pack trip as noted by a local outfitter
explains : "The Spanish Peaks in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness is home
to some of the most pristine high alpine lakes in North America.
After a two- to four-hour ride you will arrive at one of these
lakes, and fish for Cutthroat, Rainbow, Golden Trout or Arctic
Grayling. These fish receive little fishing pressure and the scenery
is spectacular! After a morning of riding and fishing, enjoy a
lakeside lunch and more fishing in the afternoon before heading
back. On the overnight trip, you will be able to fish the entire
evening and next morning."

The Gallatin River. Yellowstone River. The Madison River. The Big
Horn and Missouri Rivers. Then there's Ennis Lake. Lewis Lake.
Yellowstone Lake. And Slough Creek. If a Fly-fishing Hall of Fame
existed, these would all be in it. And all are here within easy
reach from Big Sky and the Sioux Lodge.

Big Sky, Montana is truly world class for fishing.

When it comes to summer at Big Sky, this may be an even better kept
secret than Big Sky world-class skiing. For world class fly-fishing,
none would dispute Montana as one of the premier domestic
destinations.

The famed Gallatin (made famous in the movie 'A River Runs Thorough
It') is so close to the Sioux Lodge, you can have your flies in the
water in less than 15 minutes. Big Sky has the rare privilege of
close proximity to the world class Gallatin river, a true blue
ribbon trout stream. And just one valley to the east and west lay
two other world class rivers, the Madison and the Yellowstone. For
more on fishing opp'ties, click here.

In addition to world-class fly fishing, many other summer
opportunities are for the taking including:

Horseback Riding and Llama Treks
Whitewater Rafting, canoeing and kayaking
Thousands of miles of Rocky Mountain Hiking with trailheads minutes
from the Sioux Lodge and also in Mountain Village
Mountain Biking
The wonders of Yellowstone National Park
Two distinct federally designated Wilderness Areas, the Absaroka-
Beartooth and the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Areas. (Note- Within the
borders of the Gallatin National Forest are The Absaroka-Beartooth
area are active glaciers, alpine tundra, deep canyons, sparkling
streams and more than 700 miles of hiking trails throughout the
mountain ranges. The Lee Metcalf area has more than a quarter of a
million acres waiting to be explored in the Madison mountain range,
which includes the Spanish Peaks Mountains.)
