Shavehead Lake: South End Cottage in Cassopolis

South End Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and
one with a double bed. The living room has a fold out sofa bed
and an additional couch. 

South End Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably.  We charge $25 per person for more than 6 people.  NO TENTS in yard!!!

There is one bathroom with shower. Kitchen has
stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and
toaster
oven.....all your basics in a "charmingly lake rustic" package.
There is a delightful, very large, enclosed screened porch room
that can be opened for fresh air or kept closed in the
event of (oh no!!) inclement weather.

South End Cottage has a dock that can easily accomodate your
boat(s). Shavehead Lake, a 289+-acre all sports lake, has an easy in
and out launch site. We have a shaded yard and a sunny, sandy
beachfront. There is a charcoal grill provided.
We provide the basics for lake living for the week: pots and
pans, dishes, etc. We provide some towels and basic bedding, but you
would need
to either bring extra towels and your own sheets, or you can rent
sheets and towels from us ($25)
rather than bringing your own. We also recommend bringing paper
products, toys, food, and whatever
else you may need for the week.
We are a NONSMOKING cottage!!!!
We have no cable or dish TV....but we DO have a vcr and some
great classic movies....not to mention some wonderful books and games!

Our cottage is the perfect place for boating, swimming, fishing,
sunning, relaxing.....and is in a great location for shopping, dining
and touring the surrounding area. We are about 15 minutes north of
the Elkhart toll road exits, about a half hour from South Bend and
Mishawaka, about 45 minutes from Shipshewanna and less than an hour
from Kalamazoo.

South End Cottage rents for $800 per week in summer ($825
with a preapproved, delightful, guaranteed well behaved dog). A week
begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday and ends at 11 a.m. the following
saturday. We charge a $50 refundable damage deposit and a $50 cleaning fee.

We also have
fall weekends available for fun, fishing and
football......we are about 30 minutes from Notre Dame!!! Our weekend
rental rate is $150/night. We will rent at that rate ($150/night)
for less than a standard week if we are not already booked for a
weekly rental.  The week that includes the 4th of July holiday is priced at $900.
