activities and attractions in Ventura Central Coast
Local Activities
Four beach volleyball courts 600 feet away at Ventura State Beach. Bike riding. Very nice bike path that starts at the adjacent Ventura State Beach enjoy a nice ride up to the historic Ventura Pier (about one mile) and watch the surfers at the adjacent Surfers Point (premier surf spot for either beginners to experts), or continue on
the bike path for miles riding right along a nice coastal path.
Channel Islands National Park. Right in front of the house are five islands that comprise CINP. Island Packers Cruises, the transportation concessionaire for CINP, operates right out of Ventura Harbor and can take you out to enjoy the islands for day trips, whale watching trips, island kayaking, snorkeling, scuba, hiking, camping, etc. Daily departures from Ventura Harbor (about a 5 minute drive) from the house. CINP has a Visitors Center in the harbor which is also fun to visit and Ventura Harbor has lots of great shops and restaurants as well.
Golf. Two public 18 hole public golf courses within 2-5 miles of the house.
Sportfishing opportunties out of Ventura or Channel Islands Harbor. The islands are a great spot to fish, dive, and visit!

etc for you to enjoy. Nice hiking further up into the mountains, hot springs and swimming holes can be found right a short drive out of Ojai with a road that will take you up into Los Padres National Forest and more recreational opportunities.
