Enjoy the large, beautiful, native rock, wood burning firelplace
crackling in the winter, and a comfortable, outdoor hot tub to ease
those aching muscles after skiing in the winter or biking in
the summer. The Great Room is made entirely of knotty pine that
makes you feel like you are in a huge, warm, yellow box...you can't
go wrong in this home. Not to mention the soaring ceilings and
wall of glass that looks out at a beautiful view of the lake,
mountains, and trees! Tahoe lodge style, comfortable furniture is
placed for maximum space and enjoyment. The Great Room has a 40
inch, high definition, LCD TV with a large library of movies. Cuddle
up in the winter with a roaring fire and the many afghans provided,
and watch one of our many movies on the 40 inch screen.

Enjoy our brand new, completely remodeled designer bathrooms! We have
a fully stocked kitchen...from steak knives to cappachino maker.
There is a dining table that seats 10, a game/breakfast table that
seats 4 to 6 (with lots of games), and a breakfast bar that seats 2.
Granite slab counters are throughout the kitchen and bathrooms. The
sunny and open Great Room includes the dining area, the kitchen, the
family room, and the breakfast/game table, all with views of the
lake. This open style room allows families and friends to eat, relax,
and play together. If you want a break from the kids, send them
downstairs to the master bedroom where they can watch DVD's, hang
out, or play in the fenced backyard. The next door neighbors create
a sledding area every winter in the vacant lot they own that all the
kids (and adults who feel like kids!) can sled to theirheart's
content.

The house is just a few minutes by car from downtown Tahoe City.
There is a bike path from our residential area to the charming
downtown, with shopping and great restaurants. Our street backs to
open space, with easy and difficult trail hiking and biking. Stroll
through the forest paths, or mountain bike up a mountain. There is a
magical, beautiful large pond in the open space in the summer where
you can fish or splash and play. In the winter, a cross country ski
lodge is just down the street, and can be easily skied to from our
house. The lodge also offers lessons and equipment for those who
want to try it out, or passes to the many ski trails for experienced
X country skiers.

Lake Tahoe is an Alpine Lake with Year-Round Activities. Often
called "The Lake of the Sky" because it usually matches the colors
in the sky. Also find beautiful, aquamarine blue coves that are the
colors of the Caribbean. Tahoe City is on the North(west)Shore of
the lake, and considered by most to be the most charming town around
the lake. There is something for everyone to do at Lake Tahoe!

From our Home it is approximately:

- 4 minutes to Downtown Tahoe City with Shopping, Restaurants (from
McDonald's to Fine Dining to Coffee Houses), Bars, Movie Theatre,
Supermarkets, Public Beach, Tahoe City Marina, Boat and Jet
Ski Rentals and Lessons, Parasailing, Tahoe Gal (Paddlewheel Boat
Lake Tours), Fishing Party Boats, Lighthouse Massage & Health Spa
(my personal favorite!), Bike and Rollerblading Rentals, and Public
Transportation.
Don't miss the famous "Fanny Bridge" where people lean over to
feed the fish at the spillway and show their fannies, south of
the "Y" in Tahoe City!
- 15 to 20 minutes to World Class Snow Ski Resorts (with
shopping for non-ski bunnies!)...North Star and Squaw Valley.
Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Tahoe Donner Ski Ranch, Diamond Peak &
others within 15 to 45 minute drive. Approximately 50 minutes to
South Shore and Heavenly Ski Area.
- Our Street backs to beautiful Open Space for Walking, Hiking, &
Mountain Biking in the summer (try to find the beautiful "Secret
Pond" and Go Fishing), and Tahoe XC Cross Country Skiing in the
winter (with Ski Lodge, Rentals, and Lessons)
- 5 minutes to Snowmobiling at the Tahoe City Golf Course.
Wild country snowmobiling tours are also available at Mountain
Lake Adventures.

- 10 minutes to Tahoe City Truckee River Rafting (use your own, or
rent rubber boat with bus shuttle). At the pull out end of rafting
(this is a 5 mile, beautiful meandering river) enjoy the great food
at the outdoor deck overlooking the people rafting at the River
Ranch Restaurant.
- 10 minutes to the parking lot in Tahoe City for the paved bicycle
and foot path that follows the Truckee River (path actually starts
at Squaw Valley and goes down the West Shore of the Lake)
- 20 minutes to Horseback Riding at Squaw Valley
- 20 minutes to the fun "Old Historic Downtown Truckee" with
Shopping, Restaurants, Bars, Train, and Bus Station
