vacation rental description
This remodeled 3 BR and 2 BA Cottage in the Sparrow Pond
section of Kiawah Island is located 20 miles south of the historic
and beautiful city of Charleston, S.C. The cottage is located in the
lush secluded section of the West Beach. Kiawah Island is unique
among the barrier islands, unlike Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach
commercial development is virtually non-existent. This island was
meticulously planned to be environmentally sound and yet enjoyable
to people. A semi-tropical climate offers alligators, sea turtles,
bobcats, and some very friendly dolphins.
The cottage remodeling was completed in January 2006 and included
all new carpet, paint, and furniture. The three bedroom cottage
sleeps six in comfort. The master bedroom features a queen size bed
and a private bath with Jacuzzi tub/shower. The other two bedrooms
have two single beds in each. The second bathroom features a roomy
shower. A screened porch and a large wrap around deck give plenty of
room for visitors to enjoy.
The tropical setting within a FIVE MINUTE WALK of the broad sandy
beach is an ideal setting for family fun, a quiet get-away, or
romance. The Sparrow Pond area is relatively small with a dead-in
entrance road which results in little traffic. The community pool is
conveniently located along the walk to the beach and is free to
Sparrow Pond visitors. Shops, restaurants, tennis, and the Cougar
Point golf course are within walking distance at the West Beach
Village and Straw Market. Miles of trails for walking or biking cover
the island. The newly constructed Freshfields shopping center is a
two mile drive from the cottage near the entrance to the island. At
the center you will find a grocery store, shops, drug store, liquor
store, coffee shop, sport shop, restaurants, medical care, and more.
Bohicket marina is another mile near the entrance to Seabrook Island
and has a full service marina as well as more restaurants and shops.
