Boating, fishing and nature cottage in middle of Everglade. Waterfront cottage Located on private island next to Everglades City. You will have docking privileges for fishing and boating. Our home is fully furnished, two bedrooms, and sleeps 6. Free boat shuttle 7 days a week. Close to local dockside restaurants and Historic Rod & Gun Inn.

We do not keep a calendar since we have 3 homes available for large groups. All our cottages are close to the dock and clubhouse.  We send a welcome package with broshures, maps, and suggestions of restaurants nearby and things to do to help you plan your trip.

Family holiday in May

My wife, 2 year old daughter and my parents had a one week vacation in Chris' cottage in May 2010. The cottage is very well layed out and is furnished / equiped to the highest standard. The 5 of us felt we had plenty of space and while we were at the beginning of mosquito season it really wasn't a problem, especially as the verandah is completely enclosed with mesh. We loved the idyllic island setting and fished from the dock most evenings catching plenty of catfish and snook. The boat captain, Wade, and his family live on the island and were very helpful operating the ferry to shore and taking us on a trip out to 10,000 islands, together with providing kayaks so we could explore the local area. Everglades city is a fabulous taste of old Florida and we really enjoyed our visit. I would thoroughly recomend the area and most definately this lovely cottage! A week just simply wasn't enough!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
