Sitting 50 feet from a pristine lake, this beautiful two-story barn
conversion was completed in 2004. A 12x20 square foot living/dining
area has huge windows overlooking the water. The master bedroom,
with its pillowtop queen-sized bed, is also located downstairs. A
compact kitchen and full bathroom complete the first floor. Upstairs
is the 14x19 square foot second bedroom, with two twin beds. A
finished 12x18 foot bunkhouse, sporting two sets of bunkbeds, is a
popular spot for teenagers - a chance for them to have their own
space while being only 25 feet away. It also has a great view of the
lake.
Loon's Nest Cottage sits on the western shore of Thomas Pond, a 442-
acre lake with a maximum depth of 64 feet, an average depth of 22
feet and about 7.5 miles of shoreline. The cottage's location allows
for cooling summer breezes off the water. It offers spectacular
sunrises and reflected sunsets off of its generally calm and glassy
water.
