Vacation Rental Description

This 3 bedroom cottage is located just 20 feet from the waters  
edge. A 45 foot dock takes you out and on to the 10x20 foot float. 
The back river is a tidal river that will take your boat out to the  
open ocean. The Striper fishing on the dock can be very good. The  
location is quiet with lots of wildlife and a small island just out  
front that claims to be the largest blue heron sanctuary in the  
states. You can dig for your own clams on the beach, rent canoes and  
kayaks nearby!    
The property is located on the sleepy Island of Westport. The Island is accesible by car via a  
bridge. Westport is a long narrow island 7 miles long. There is no commercial activity on the island  
to speak of except the general store located just a few minutes away. The location is ideal for the  
Maine visitor for the following reasons. Quiet woods like setting with spectacular water views,  
ammenities, shopping, antiques, restaurants, lobsters and seafood 10 minutes away, centralized  
location makes a perfect base camp for exploring Maines coast. Get to any location between Portland  
and Camden within 50 minutes. Both cottages have just gone through extensive remodeling and are very  
clean. Long sandy beaches located at Popham beach.    
I also have a very nice 2 bedroom cottage  available near by with  
a screened in porch.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Micro wave, 4 burner stove/ oven, coffee maker, stereo, toaster,  
refridgerator and freezer, TV with DVD player.

Activities and Attractions

Boating, Canoes and Kayaks can be delivered right to the cottage. This is a very unique area for any  
type of paddle boat as you can time the tides and cover huge distances witout any effort and then  
let the returning tide bring you back.   
Great fishing just off the dock. Fishing excursions. Antique stores. 
Sight seeing at many local attractions. Sun bathing on the float. 
Lighthouses, shopping, Lobster( lobstaahh).

10 minutes to Dammariscotta 
25 minutes to Boothbay (10 by boat)20 minutes to freeport LL Bean

Vacation Rental Rates

$975 per week during peak season (July 5th to last week in August) 
 
$800 per week any other time  
 
This is a year round insulated cottage with oil heat 
 
Persons that desire to stay longer than a week should inquire about  
my special rates. 
 
I try to rent only from Saturday to Saturday but may be able to make  
exceptions.   
 
Maine Lodging tax not included. $35 cleaning fee, security deposit required
