Five bedroom, two bath, renovated, non-smoking antique home on a peninsula with wonderful ocean air. This former colonial dairy, available for weekly rental (May 26 - Aug. 31), has unobstructed gorgeous tidal marsh views towards the Steep Hill section of world famous Crane's Beach. This 2.5 acre property is surrounded by 216 acres of protected land on historic Jeffreys Neck. A short drive further out is Great and Little Neck- home of the famous little neck clam. Beautifully simple, comfortable and cleanly furnished home with a screened porch- (8 rooms, 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths,) maximum of 7 people . Nice parking, room for a trailored boat. Vacation Rental AmenitiesStereo, TV and DVD, Wireless Internet. All new energy star top appliances in new cathedral ceiling kitchen with entry to screenporch. Ceiling fans and air conditioning ( in bedrooms). New LG stacking washer/dryer in downstairs bath. Lovely entry with antique wood mantle and staircase. Large 20 X 20 master bedroom (double bed) has a stone fireplace, bay window and a door to the screenporch. Magnificent sunrise and sunset views. Upstairs is a room with a double bed with beautiful 2nd story views across the marsh toward the tidal inlets. There are also two other bedrooms upstairs with single beds in them, and a twin bed sleeping space downstairs. This is such a relaxing place to be. Activities and AttractionsThe house is a few minutes walk to the water on both sides of the road. Beach and kayak access is one mile further out-a nice trip across the bay to Plum Island. Bring binoculars in all seasons as migratory birds- egrets, herons and many more, abound in the views from the house. The tidal marsh surrounding the house is described in the natural history book- "The House in Ipswich Marsh" written by a neighboring author. Birding, walking, kayaking, cycling and so many other fun things to do. The town wharf- at the first colonial settlement in town- with public boat access is .3 miles away. To relax in this type of wildness while being centrally located and accessible to Boston, Salem, Newburyport and Gloucester makes this house truly a vacation find. Very well cared for animals are allowed with discussion and an extra sec. dep. Help is offered seeking local animal day care if needed, as animals should not be left in the house alone.
