A Horse, Golf and Wine Country Vacation in Santa Ynez

This is a newer Mediterranean Style guest house extension and is located
on 5 acres, one mile from the little village of Santa Ynez, - a nice
walk to the local coffee shops and restaurants.  A peaceful retreat with beautiful views and a natural stream at the bottom of the property, but with many
activities nearby.
Our neighbors in Santa Ynez have: –
Wine tasting and winery tours, at the over 70 local wineries.
Including Firestone, Fess Parker, Gainey, Sunstone, etc.
Also found are the Miniature horse and Alpaca ranches, Ostrich Land,
and the Chumash casino. As well as the Vintage Motorcycle and Elverhoy
museums, the Maverick saloon, and several famous horse ranches with
Andalusians, Arabs, Thoroughbreds, Peruvian Pasos, and many more.
Monty Roberts’ famous “join up” program is only 15 minutes away!

There is high speed internet access (cable), heating, and 2 full bedrooms.
(one with King and a walk-in closet, one with 2 twins), 1 bathroom, a
laundry room with washer/dryer, a microwave, toaster, cutlery,
crockery, cooking utensils, dishwasher, cable TV etc. Linens are
provided. Access to pool (solar partly heated). Please bring your own cell phone.
The neighboring towns of Solvang (known for it’s Danish origins and
architecture, shopping, and California Mission) and Los Olivos,
(known for it’s art galleries, tasting rooms and restaurants) are only
a few miles away and has original shopping and wine tasting, art
galleries and restaurants.
Santa Barbara, 32 miles south, has whale watching and fishing .
San Luis Obispo and Hearst Castle are about an hour to 1.5 hours
north. Los Angeles is about 2 hours by car .

Biking rentals and biking tours are available in Santa Ynez
village(Lance Armstrong & his team trained here every year)
Golf: several top class golf courses in the area – both Private and
Public, including The Alisal Ranch and Alisal River courses, La
Purisma,and the San Marcos Golf Course.
Tennis is free at local Parks.
Wildlife viewing, boat trips and fishing at Lake Cachuma.
Horse trail riding at Bar B ranch, and Rancho Oso Guest Ranch is 20
miles away.
Wine tasting rooms and wineries tours abound in the neighborhood.
The Vintners association office is in Santa Ynez.
The Chumash Casino is only 3 minutes away, and has many music
performances.
The open air Solvang theater operates in summer.
There is a weekly farmers market as well.

RATES: US $2500
A $80 non-refundable cleaning fee, is required.
A $350.00 combined reservation/damage/security deposit is required at
time of reservation. This is fully refundable after departure if no
damage is found.
Full payment of rent and cleaning fee is required 30 days prior to
arrival date.
Reservations are now typically from Wednesday to Wednesday, so you may
enjoy a week-end in Santa Ynez. This can be changed depending on our
bookings. Check in 4:00pm, Checkout 11:00am.
Cancellation Policy: Notice of cancellation must be received at least
30 days prior to your scheduled arrival. A $100 cancellation fee
will be applied. However, if cancellation notice is received less than
30 days prior to scheduled arrival, the deposit will be forfeited.
No refunds for early departures. No smoking inside, pets by
arrangement.
