Take a 5 minute stroll down the beach to one of the local palapa restaurants for an ice cold cerverza (beer) and “huachinango entero” (grilled whole red snapper) or through the village to get your favorite homemade ice cream. Visit the local Wednesday tiangi’s (markets), pick out your fresh catch of the day at the “Pescaderia” (fish market), listen to an evening of live music talent, dine out at one of the local restaurants (Black Forest, Caledonia, Jardin del Pulpo, La Cruz’s infamous Street Taco’s, more), visit the art galleries featuring Mexican or Huichol hand-crafted art (local native Indians), or join yoga or Spanish classes twice a week at Philo’s Music Studio and Community Center. Swimming, beachcombing, snorkeling and sunbathing are, of course, popular activities as well.
