Vacation Rental Description

     1. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise on the
Mississippi River in a cottage that has been the family home to
generations of fishermen.
     2. From your 30 ft. deck, you can watch as eagles screech & 
dive  for fish nearby in icy waters. Or come to see the pelicans in 
the springtime by Lock & Dam #24.
     3. Bring your boat & navigate Ole Man River. Access is nearby
     4. If you want to feel the rhythm of small town America, our 
cottage comes equipped with bicycles. Tour the town which boasts the 
highest point on the Mississippi from Minneapolis to New Orleans.  
     5. Don't forget your camera or your fishing pole!

Vacation Rental Amenities

     The Cottage has all the comforts of home.  A home with living 
room, kitchen, two bedrooms & one bath.  It comes with bed linens, 
towels, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, a 
refrigerator with an icemaker, and lots of dishes, pots, pans and a 
selection of coffees & teas. Washer & dryer.  The Cottage has Central 
Air and furnace for heat. Not handicap accessible.

     *Bicycles
     * We enjoy traveling, too, and we always forget something!  So, 
     we've tried to remember all the little extras.  Enjoy!  

Activities and Attractions

     In January, Clarksville is host for Eagle Days. The count is 
ongoing whether you're in the park with binoculars or using the 
telescopes at the the Clarksville Visitor Center.  Crowds pour into 
our small town to view the phenomenal recovery of the Eagle.  Great 
homemade soup & pie to be had at local churches.  
     September & October you'll see the trees in full color and 
experience the loveliest of autumn days in America!  River Days in 
September has educational seminars & displays.  You'll want to take a 
barge ride on the Mississippi & don't miss the River Heritage 
Museum.  
     Applefest is the second weekend in October & the town is filled 
with activity, crafts & good food.  Reunions always occur this 
weekend. You'll likely find a bale of hay to sit on while you drink 
your hot apple cider & visit with the locals.

$500 - $800   USD/Week
              (7 Days/ 6 Nights)

Pay with Paypal, credit card or check.  $100 refundable Deposit.
1/2 of rent is needed to make reservation.
The balance of the rent is due two weeks before your stay.
