Vacation Rental Description

This secluded and very private cabin is situated on 7 acres, located 
3.7 miles east of the Mazama junction off of State Hiway 20... This 
architecturally unique cabin is approximately 1500 sq. ft. with 1 
large bathroom equipped with antique clawfoot tub and pedestal 
sink.  Thereare 2 separate sleeping lofts located on the second 
floor. One loft sleeps 3 in beds and 4 on futons/folding couches. 

The second loft (the master bed room) sleeps 2 in a queen bed and 
there is a double futon in this room as well.  The cabin sleeps a 
maximum of 8 guests.  Larger family groups can accommodated with 
special consideration.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you need 
to prepare gourmet meals (pots, pans, utensils, etc.). The range is 
propane with electronic ignition; the dishwasher is new, and 
the fridge is an antique that works beautifully. A microwave, 
toaster and coffee maker.  There is a washing machine and clothes 
line for your use as well.  There are also 3 barbeques/cooker/smokers 
located on the back side of the house for your use. The cabin is 
fully stocked with linens/bedding/towels. There is a stereo/CD 
player, TV/DVD combo unit, a small selection of DVD movies, and 
plenty of good books, games, & puzzles, for entertainment for all 
ages.

Activities and Attractions

Tucked high on the eastern slope of Washington's North Cascade 
Mountains, the Methow Valley is the end of the road in winter, and 
the beginning of possibly the best winter vacation you'll ever have. 
With nearly 200 kilometers of machine-groomed, unrepeated trails 
surrounded by more than a million acres of national wilderness and 
forest lands, the Methow today comprises one of the largest Nordic 
centers in North America.

The Methow Community Trail can be accessed by walking down the 
driveway to Hwy 20 & crossing the road. The trail is located along 
the fence line and is clearly marked. Horse back riding is 2 miles 
down the road at the Early Winters Outfitters.  In the winter, the 
same trail can be used to XC ski to the Mazama store, or go south to 
Browns Farm and Winthrop. These trails are machine groomed nightly.  
For down hill skiers, backcountry skiers and snowboarders, the area 
offers either the Loup Loup or North Cascades Heli Skiing depending 
on your needs and taste. 

In the spring and summer,the Methow Valley offers many easy trail 
walks and hikes, as well as some very challenging technical climbs 
and alpine ascents.  The same trails that are used for skiing, can 
be enjoyed by mountain bikers, equestrians, and day hikers.

Fishing in the Methow River and the numerous other area lakes and 
streams is a popular activity.
