Vacation Rental Description

The Setting: 
 
Located on Lake Tahoe's North Shore, two miles from Tahoe City, this  
home is perfect for either a winter or summer vacation. It is  
conveniently located for skiing at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows,  
Northstar, or Homewood ski areas. The home is also easy and safe to  
drive to when there is snow on the road, as it is down hill from the  
main highway (28) to the house, and down hill back to the highway.   
For summer vacationers, it is:  a five minute walk to a quiet beach  
with a pier and swimming area; two blocks from a bicycle path that  
takes you to Tahoe City, the West Shore of Tahoe, and along the  
Truckee to Squaw Valley; three blocks to the entrance to some of the  
best mountain bike trails of the Sierra Nevada; a two mile walk  (or  
drive) to Tahoe City's excellent shopping and dining spots; and  
within  
a twenty five minute drive from nine golf courses that offer some of  
the most scenic and challenging golf in the West.  Do you have a  
boat?  
 If so, we can arrange for you to use a buoy.  The location is  
convenient to the many activities of Tahoe, yet it is quiet and  
private.   
 
The home has a 180 degree view of the mountains and Lake Tahoe.  You  
can view Alpine Meadows to the West, and look across Tahoe at the  
Casinos and Heavenly Valley to the South… 27 miles away.   The  
setting  
is particularly nice during the summer, when you can enjoy the large  
decks for relaxing, dining, or cocktails at sunset. This home offers  
the best Lake Tahoe has to give. 
 
The Home:  
 
Recent upgrades to our home include: a new kitchen with granite  
counter tops, tile floor, new appliances, and new cabinets; granite  
counter tops and new cabinets in the master bath, and tile in the  
master shower area; tile entry way; new carpet; and repainting of  
the  
interior.  
 
There are six regular size bedrooms, two small bedrooms, three large  
bathrooms (configured with two double vanity areas, two bath/toilet  
areas, and one regular bathroom), two living rooms, two dining  
rooms,  
library area, two very well equipped kitchens, two 450 sq. ft. sunny  
decks, sauna, and a washer/dryer area.

Vacation Rental Amenities

New Hot Springs Spa! We provide a VCR (2), DVD (2), large screen TV  
(2), both with surround  
sound, a Bose equipped stereo system, a C/D and cassette player, a  
well stocked library, a telephone answering machine, and a  
convenient spot for setting up a lap top/Internet ready computer.   
We  
provide linens and electric blankets for your convenience and  
comfort.  
 And for your dining enjoyment, we provide spices, an enormous  
assortment of cooking accessories and appliances; a microwave oven,  
place settings for 16, wine and champagne glasses for 16, an  
electric  
BBQ, and a coffee maker.  This is our second home, but we treat it  
as  
our first.  It is a comfortable, beautiful, ready-to-be-lived-in  
home.

Vacation Rental Rates

The Rates: 
 
Winter and Summer:  $419/night, seven night minimum; $499/night,  
three  
night minimum. Add $18/night/person for more than eight persons.  
 
Holiday and High Season Weeks:  $499/night, seven night minimum;   
$589/night, four night minimum. Add $18/night/person for more than  
eight persons.   (Except Christmas and New Years) 
 
Spring and Fall:  20% discount 
 
Small Groups:  Call for quote 
 
A $750 security deposit plus the full amount of the rent  ($750 plus  
rent, calculated based on the above rates) is due 45 days before the  
rental period.  The balance of the security deposit will be returned  
to you within 45 days from the end of your rental period (usually a  
few days after we receive our telephone bill to confirm that you  
have  
or have not made long distance telephone calls).  The cost of  
cleaning  
the home will also be withheld from the security deposit. 
 
Early booking is encouraged in order to reserve a preferred date.   
The  
rates expire on 12/31/05.
