The Agape House is a modern single-family home with an in-town
location. The casual beach style makes this 3-bedroom, 2-bath bungalow an
ideal rental for a family or a group of friends.
The home underwent a near-entire interior makeover in Spring 2007
with: new laminate floors, carpet, walls, front windows, lighting, ceiling
fans, bathroom upgrades and wall art. An efficient central air
conditioning and heating system will keep you comfortable no matter
the season! Two water heaters make sure you never run out of hot
water.

Home Amenities
The Master bedroom suite includes a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom for
a soothing respite from your days’ activities. It has a Queen-size bed.The over-sized second bedroom has two queen-sized beds and a comfy reading chair; and the third bedroom has a full bed and is located at the front of the
house allowing for some privacy for the teen or in-law. The second
bath has a new tub and Italian tile to the ceiling with beadboard
wainscoting around the rest of the room. It works well with the new
cultured marble vanity top and mirror.
The long ‘galley’ kitchen has plenty of counter space for those
seafood feasts that you’ll want to have once you see the selection
of locally caught crab, shrimp, clams and oysters. Time at the beach
is not complete without a good Seafood Feast. A large dining table
welcomes large gatherings. A new outdoor propane grill and Outdoor
Shower enclosure were added in 2008! Eating outdoors at the picnic
table is a great way to finish off a day of outdoor activities.
A gravel drive accommodates two cars and there is on-street parking
for additional guests.
activities and attractions in Chincoteague Island Virginia
The Agape House's location couldn’t be more convenient. Just two
short blocks to Maddox Boulevard, the main road connecting the city
with the beaches of Assateague Island. Walk to the Dollar Store for
necessities you forgot, eat at the many restaurants along the road,
and check your email using the free Wi-Fi at the local ice cream
parlor.
Head the other direction and you’re on Main Street in no time.
Stroll the boardwalk along the Chincoteague Channel, the site of
many civic events and festivals. Check out a current-run movie at
the 1930s’era single screen cinema; and if your timing is right and
you’re here on the Second Saturday of every month – enjoy the Art
Stroll.
Be sure to bring your bikes, or rent them here, as the island is
flat and it’s a great way to see the sites and get some exercise.
It’s a pleasant 20-minute ride to Assateague Island and a view of
the ponies and the unspoiled beaches.
The pace of life on Chincoteague is refreshingly slower than many of
the mid-Atlantic resort communities, not much in the way of concrete
and a “hi-rise” is all of three stories. The infrastructure of this
7 mile by 2 mile island just won’t support a lot of development and
that’s what folks like about it.
