Ocean front cottage only 14 miles from Cooks Corner in Brunswick,
just follow route 24 South onto Bailey Island, we're located on
Cedar Beach Road. Completely furnished (except linens). Large ocean
front deck with gas grill and seating/table. Fully equiped kitchen
and full bath/shower. Two bedrooms. Living room and sunroom with
beautiful ocean views.

activities and attractions in Bailey Island Maine

Great for hiking, biking, fishing, sea kayaking, shell collecting,
and swimming. Fall months are great for foliage seekers. Many
seafood restaurants on Bailey Island and a Gift shop near by at
Lands End. Boat and kayak rentals are available on the island.
Convenient to LL Bean and the other outlets in Freeport. Brunswick
and historic Bath also offer great shopping nearby. Reid State Park
and Popham Beach are just a short drive from the island.

Doesn't get any better than this

We have always loved Bailey Island, this is the first time we have stayed for a week, this cottage is perfect. It is right on the ocean, property is not blocked by anything, the deck is the best place to hang out. We were 4 adults, 2 mid 50s and 2 mid 70s, and one mid sized dog, it was perfect for us. We loved it so much I have already booked for two weeks next summer. If you love the ocean but don't want the traffic and noise of the Cape, OOB or other popular vacation spots Bailey Island is perfect. Although I hestiate to advertise this fact as I want the Island to stay as peaceful as it is now. There is no place I would rather be than here. I can't wait until next year.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

The best of Maine island vacationing

The Herrick cottages are the best!! The cottage has everything a family needs to live for a week or more. You can sit on the front deck and enjoy the view of the ocean, sun sets, sun rises, watching the lobster boats and the cruise ships entering into Portland. The beach is a step away with an additional sandy beach just a short walk. Brunswick is 20 minutes away, Portland is about 40 minutes and Freeport is about 30 minutes (nationally known LL Bean is headquartered in Freeport). Beautiful, quiet and fun for all ages of the family! While there make sure to get some delicious Maine lobster and clams.
