Rural setting, year-round, shingled-style 20 year old house with
open single story floor plan, 3 bedrooms, all with twins which can be
moved into king configuration, and screened gazebo (with sofa bed)
which is also a wonderful sleeping space. Fully equipped kitchen
and laundry. House is set back 300 feet from road (safe for
children) and slopes down towards water in back. Property is not on
water but there is water access 5 minutes away. Two decks--the back one has a far water view (see
photo of view from deck).

Open, sunny layout, warm in winter, cool in summer. Fireplace and board
games inside; badminton option and swing outside. Two kayaks and
adult life preservers provided. Haystack
School of Crafts 3 miles down road. Neighbors are Nervous Nellie's
Jams and Jellies cafe and studio of renown sculptor Peter Beerits.

Several kayak launch sites within 5 minute drive. Challenging
bikeriding throughout island. Hiking trails 5 minute walk from
house and elsewhere on island. Fresh water ponds on island for
swimming. Saltwater fishing available on island. Artist studios and
galleries all over island including 5 on Sunshine Rd. Village of
Deer Isle is 3 miles away, fishing village of Stonington 6 miles
away. Isle au Haut, an annex of Acadia National Park is a 45 minute
boatride away from Stonington for hiking and wildlife viewing.
Acadia is 1.5 hours away at Bar Harbor. Variety of restaurants on
island serving the world's best and freshest lobster and
seafood.... Or you can just sit on a rock and
view (perhaps paint or photograph) the beautiful and tranquil scene.

$650 Nov-Apr; $750 May-June, Sept-Oct; $850 July-Aug. Tenants
provide own linen. In addition, tenants should clean upon departure.
