Steps From the Beach, Ready for the Summer

Pristine Ocean Beach house, outside shower, seven houses from beach,
eight-minute walk to supermarkets, stores, movie theater, etc. DSL Broadband Internet, Wi-Fi, mostly new appliances this year. Luckily, we were virtually spared by Hurricane Sandy.

Please note: Town rules require minimum one-week rentals.

Thank you for your interest. This one-level house includes four
bedrooms and one bathroom, so it's for families only, and we
CAN'T PERMIT PETS (or smoking) because of my daughter's allergies. We've an
OUTSIDE SHOWER built last season. The bathroom
has inside and outside doors, providing direct
access to the shower after a day at the beach, which is a
two-minute walk away.

The house includes a large enclosed sun porch -- it gets plenty
of sun, particularly in the afternoon, as well as cool ocean
breezes. In the back, a dining room with a large table looks out on
the deck. There's a brand-new outside shower on the deck. Electric
heat in the living room and the bathroom takes
the edge off chilly nights. Sheets, towels provided; if you are
kosher, we have separate milk / meat silverware, plates and kitchen
racks. One big advantage is the house's location eight minutes from
town and the ferry, though it's close enough to the beach to that
you won't notice the nearness to town. Of course, the deck has a
couple of tables and plenty of chairs. Beach chairs and an umbrella
are also provided.
Also included: barbecue, satellite TV, many books, toaster
oven, DVD, A/C (in master bedroom, with potential for a second
unit), large attic fan that cools whole house. Washer, dryer. For
computers, fast DSL Broadband Internet, N Class Wi-fi.
Reasonable rates, available in spring, summer, early fall.
Ocean Beach is Fire Island's biggest town, the only one with
amenities like a movie theater that operates all summer nights and a
library. Ferry service is frequent, and it's an easy walk from such
special parts of the national seashore as the fauna-and-flora rich
Sunken Forest.
