Vacation Rental Description

Nestled high above Lake Travis (near the famous Oasis
Restaurant/Mansfield Dam and only 25-30 minutes from downtown Austin)
Lake Travis Lake House is a 10 acre retreat with spectacular views of
the main body of Lake Travis.  This gorgeous 3-bedroom,
2-luxury-full-bath home was completely remodeled in 2005.  Chefs will
be amazed at the ultra-high-end kitchen, featuring a Viking Stove,
Sub-Zero Refrigerator, granite countertops and imported travertine
sink.  Designers will marvel at the floor-to-ceiling travertine
bathrooms, with an oversized soaking tub and magnificent
European-style travertine shower.  All will sleep well in the
tastefully-decorated fully-furnished bedrooms.

Imagine sitting out on the large porch watching the sun set over the
lake, strolling around the 10 acres admiring the other "residents"
(including Egyptian Arabian horses, rare white peacocks and Pygmy
goats, among others), or picking fresh herbs and vegetables out of the
organic garden!  And while you may feel a million miles away from the
stress of the city (since the property is almost completely surrounded
by the Balcones Canyonland Nature Preserve), you are in fact only
minutes from every imaginable type of retail and restaurants (10
minutes from Lakeline Mall, 20 minutes to the Arboretum/Domain and
25-30 minutes from the heart of downtown Austin).

Vacation Rental Amenities

This 1940’s farmhouse underwent a complete 2-year renovation ending in
2006.  The original architectural details (beautiful hardwood floors,
crown molding, etc.) were preserved but are mixed with the best of
modern features (floor to ceiling travertine tile in 
both bathrooms, a sunken tub, marble countertops, a Viking stove,
SubZero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, etc.). 

This is a true ranch and the stars would have to be the two beautiful
Egyptian Arabian horses, one of whom is the half brother of the
stallion in the Disney Film “The Return of the Young Black Stallion.”
In addition to the horses, there are incredibly cute Pygmy goats, 
chickens and a large organic garden.  You are welcome to free fresh
eggs and produce throughout your stay.

Activities and Attractions

It would be hard to find a more beautiful view of the main body of
Lake Travis, especially this close to downtown Austin (a 20-25 minute
drive).  This wonderful 10-acre ranch is 
almost completely surrounded by the Balcones Canyonland Preserve and
is across the street from several marinas.  The nearest public boat
ramp is less than a 1/2 mile away 
and there are several boat rental businesses within 2-3 miles from the
property.  Despite its apparent seclusion, the ranch is only 5-10
minutes from major shopping, including Lakeline Mall.  As if that
wasn’t enough, the ranch is located only 3miles from the famed 
Oasis Restaurant and 3.5 miles from Austin’s only waterpark, Volente
Beach.  

In short, this is NOT your average vacation rental.  If you appreciate
good taste and a unique environment, then we would love to make your
stay an incredible experience.  

Vacation Rental Rates

Non-Holiday Rates:
Weekdays (Monday through Thursday) = $300/night (2 night minimum)
Weekends (Friday through Sunday) = $400/night (2 night minimum)
Week = $1,800/week

Holiday Rates:
Weekdays (Monday through Thursday) = $400/night (3 night minimum)
Weekends (Friday through Sunday) = $450/night (3 night minimum)
Week = $2,000/week

Rates are based on a maximum of 10 people.  Extra charges will be
applied for additional 
occupants.
