Welcome To Deerfield Cottage......

Named for the beautiful herds of white-tipped deer that call the
tall pine mountain forests home. On any given day, sitting on the
front porch, gazing up the mountain, or swinging on the back deck
and looking down into the valley and creekside, you may see them
move gracefully through the leaves or stop to nibble on a small
plant or two. If you are still, you may catch them moving quietly
toward you, even within five feet or so, or catch a glimpse of a
brown bear or the wild turkeys that also live in the area.

Deerfield Cottage is the perfect, cozy, mountain cabin just an hour
north of Atlanta for couples and families who want to get away from
the hustle and bustle of city life for a little quiet time in a
natural mountain forest setting. Located at Big Canoe, North
Georgia's most pristine and ecologically-oriented mountain
community, this 3br/2.5 ba cabin sits in a small valley of trees
with a meandering creek and walking path perfect for enjoying the
outdoors any time of year.

Deerfield Cottage is the only house on its street with its own
private cul-de-sac on Jewel Weed Turn, so there is ample parking for
several families. The master bedroom with a king bed sits on the
main floor with its own private deck that includes a 4-person hot
tub with a private entrance to the bedroom and to the main living
area deck. There is also a private jacuzzi bath, separate shower and
dressing area attached to the master.

Big Canoe guests at Deerfield Cottage have access to the community
golf course, pools, sandy-beach lake, small boats, sliding rock,
16,000 square foot modern fitness club with indoor Olympic pool and
tennis and racquetball courts as well as the most current weight
machines and class schedule.

Just behind Deerfield Cabin is an easy 15-minute walking trail along
side a bubbling creek that leads to the community amenities, if you
don't feel like driving. In the evening, relax in our 4-person hot
tub or indoor jacuzzi bath or enjoy the evening in front of the 42"
plasma television watching your favorite cable shows or sporting
events in front of a crackling, warm natural-wood, stacked stone
fireplace.

During the days, explore nearby Dahlonega or Alpine-inspired Helen
Georgia where you can go antique and gift shopping, dine at a
variety of locally-owned restaurants or just enjoy the mountain
ambience where folks help you slow down and enjoy the simple
pleasures of daily life.
