Vacation Rental Description

Nestled near the top of Seven Devils Mountain, this chalet is within  
walking distance to Hawksnest Ski Resort.  Ski Beech,  
Appalachian Ski Mountain (in Boone) and Sugar Mountain skiing  
resorts are only a short drive.   
 
Partake of the many nearby year-round activities (hiking, fishing,  
shopping) and sites (Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls & Caverns,  
Grandfather Mountain) or simply enjoy the blissful seclusion and  
unique, bird's eye view the home offers. 
   
Rent as a single home, 4 bedrooms 2 baths for up to 12 guests, or  
the upper and lower levels can be securely divided to provide 2  
bedrooms 1 bath each, 6 guests per level.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Each level offers: king-size bed in master bedroom, twin beds in  
second bedroom, bed linens/towels provided, large deck with  
picturesque view, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer,  
telephone, cable TV with VCR, and a coffee maker.   
 
In addition, the upper level has a stone fireplace, use of a fully  
enclosed garage with direct accessibility to house (automatic garage  
door opener provided for added convenience), Cathedral ceiling,  
Jacuzzi tub, BBQ grill and a loft with trundle beds.   
 
The lower level features a Ben Franklin Wood Burning Stove and a  
queen-size folding couch. Maximum persons allowed for either level:  
six (6), both levels: twelve (12).

Activities and Attractions

Dining: There are many nearby restaurants that provide an eclectic  
assortment of styles that are sure to tantalize even the most  
sophisticated palate. 
 
Golfing and Skiing: A short walk away is Hawksnest Golf and Ski  
Resort. A short drive (15 minutes or so) to Beech and Sugar  
Mountains. 
 
Grandfather Mountain: Famous for its sky-line profile of a  
grandfather-like figure.  The park includes hiking trails, a zoo of  
mountain animals, gift shop and the famous mile-high hanging bridge,  
offering a breathtaking view.  
 
Linville Caverns: Interesting and beautiful, these underground  
caverns offer an educational and enjoyable visit.  
 
Blue Ridge Parkway:  A drive with the most extraordinary views of  
the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Mountains.  
 
Walking, Mountain Climbing and Hiking: The National Park Service  
maintains several hiking trails up majestic Grandfather Mountain.   
The nearby Blue Ridge Parkway offers many trails and sites for the  
novice and expert hiker alike to explore. 
 
Also, enjoy shopping at some very wonderful shops at nearby Blowing  
Rock and Banner Elk.
