Our home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, an outdoor shower, 2 spacious decks facing the ocean, comfortable outdoor teak chaise lounge chairs, outdoor picnic tables for 8-10 with umbrellas and an outdoor gas grill.  We invite you to enjoy the true Fire Island Spirit...sand, surf and fun!  Set back on the dune our Ocean Front home is your own personal retreat.  The large decks allow you to soak up the sun and enjoy the panoramic ocean views, sunrises, sunsets, moon and sky as well as the sound of the waves breaking on the beach.   It’s truly a visible feast!  So come and enjoy a fantastic indoor/outdoor vacation experience.  

Living Area/Kitchen:

Our home features an open living area with ample seating for family and friends.  If you choose to dine inside the dining room table seats 6 or if you prefer, as we do, dine outside under the cool blue Fire Island sky with seating for 8-10.  The downstairs outside deck is easily accessed through 2 large sliding glass doors allowing for easy flow from the kitchen, living room and dining room to the deck.  The kitchen is fully equipped with the family chef in mind; refrigerator, gas oven/ stove, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee pot, toaster, quality cookware and tableware.  For the grilling aficionado we have a gas grill ideal for clam bakes & easy summer dinners.  The large living room/dining area also features 3 ceiling fans to keep the ocean breezes flowing through the house, a 32” inch TV w/satellite, a DVD player, stereo with an Ipod connection, wireless internet connection as well as games and puzzles for indoor play. 

Bedrooms:

Our home features 3 large bedrooms - 1 upstairs & 2 downstairs.  The upstairs bedroom has an amazing ocean view through the oversized sliding glass door/window system, which affords you the pleasure of watching and listening to the waves as they lull you to sleep each night. Additional features of this bedroom include a private bath with shower, closet, ceiling fan, night tables with reading lamps, and quality linens for both bed and bath.

The downstairs bedrooms face east & overlook the side yard/eastern dune line.  Bedroom 2 features a queen size bed, a twin size bed, night tables with reading lamps,  a dresser, ceiling fan and a closet.   Bedroom 3 features a full size bed, night tables with reading lamps, a dresser, ceiling fan and closet.  All bedrooms are good sized and work well as adult or children’s rooms.  Since our home is on the ocean all of the rooms are kept cool & comfortable by the on shore ocean breezes. The best part is that the ocean waves can be heard breaking on the beach from all rooms in the house...the perfect backdrop to an extremely restful nights sleep!

Baths:

Our home has 2 full bathrooms each with a shower.  Quality bath towels and beach towels are provided for your convenience.  There is also an outdoor shower for washing off sandy feet after a fun filled beach day! 

Location:

Our house is situated steps away from the Atlantic Ocean, The Great South Bay as well as the Sunken Forest.  Restaurants, grocery store, liquor store, ice cream shop, tennis courts, children’s playground, movies, shopping and children’s day camp (through September 1) are only a short walk or quick bike ride away. 

It takes approximately 1 hour, 10 minutes by train, car or private van to the Fire Island Ferry dock from NYC.  Then it is just a 25 minute relaxing ferry boat ride to the beach (parking is available at the ferry dock in Bay Shore).

Located only 50 miles from New York City, Fire Island is a barrier beach running parallel to the south shore of Long Island.  During the summer months there are no cars allowed on the island and it is only accessible by ferry.  Once on the beach everyone walks or rides their bicycles from town to town.  Red wagons are used all over the island to transport luggage, groceries, children and for those all important entrepreneurial “lemonade and painted shell stands”.  Fire Island is a place for children run free and for adults to relax.

Shopping – Ocean Beach is about a 10 minute bike ride from house.  It’s the “big” town on the island, full of summer tourists, shops & restaurants…definitely fun to explore on a lazy afternoon.

Restaurants – There are a couple restaurants, pizza parlor & ice cream shop in Ocean Bay Park. Ocean Beach offers even more restaurant choices.

This home is available for weekly, monthly or seasonal rentals.

Weekly rentals are from Monday 12pm noon - Sunday 4pm.

All rentals require:
