The Dining area exits out to the large patio with picnic table & gas barbeque grill. Central A/C & Heating with Ceiling Fans Throughout. Bring your own boat. Our private community boat launch ramp and pier are just one block from your front door. The Great Wicomico River, located jost off the Chesapeake Bay is great for fishing, crusing, sightseeing, bird watching and miles of white sandy beaches are just minutes away from your pier. Fishing: There are dozens of fishing charter boats operating out of marinas within a 10 minute drive. Seafood Resturants: Some of the best seafood cooking around Chesapeake Bay can be found in Northumberland County. Two that we highly recommend are The Crazy Crab in Reedvile and Horn Harbor in Burgess. Ferry Ride: Tour the picture perfect villages on Tangier or Smith Isalnd in the middle of the bay. Antiques: Shops abound in the area, many specializing in Marine Antiques. One “Must Visit” that we recommend is the Kilmarnock Antique Gallery. Golf: There are six local courses. Historic Attractions: Visit the birthplace of George Washington and Robert E. Lee and Reedvilles magnifisantly restored Victorian Homes. At the turn of the century Reedville was the richest per capita city in America. While in Reesville, visit the Fishermans Museum. Birdwatching: There are several Northern Neck Nature Preserves or explore the coastline, rivers and inlets. This tidewater area of Virginia abounds in seabirds including Osprey, Bald Eagles and Pelicans to name only a few. Also there is : The local Farmers Market and Wineries.
