Cape Meares is a uniquely tranquil and lovely community with a magnificent driftwood beach and located on the Three Capes scenic drive only five miles from Oceanside. Charming, welcoming, modern, fully furnished beachfront cottage on the Oregon coast provides a breathtaking 180 degree ocean view and tranquil surf sounds of the majestic Pacific Ocean.
Rates for both summer and winter seasons are available. All windows overlooking beautifully landscaped lawn, beach and ocean. There is even a year round creek out the back window. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

- Clamming (permit required)
- Crabbing (permit required) - boats, gear and instruction available in nearby Netarts
- Exploring tide pool on the beach north of Maxwell Point (walk through the tunnel or aroiund the point at low tide)
- Beach combing and collecting shells and agates
- Picking berries during late summer season
- Antiquing up and down the coast
- Boating out of the local marina
- Kayaking and canoeing in the bay (the ocean is a bit rough and has dangerous rip tides)
- Wind Surfing
- Golfing in public 9 hole course - not approved for PGA tornaments
- Collecting stones and shell on local beaches
- Walking for miles on local beaches
- Bicycling on the many miles of bike paths up and down the coast
- Surfing - Wind or board (bring a wet suit)
- Para-sailing - for the daring [bring you own gear]
- Fishing - Ocean (rod and reel in the surf or deep sea charters in nearby Garibaldi)
- Fishing (reel or fly) in fresh water lakes and streams-tips & permits available at Tillamook Sporting Goods
- Shopping (Groceries and stuff in Tillamook and surrounding communities)
- Swimming - if you like cold water
- Canoeing
- Hiking on the many trails up and down the coast.
- Eating is restaurants - a few local spots and more in the area
- Boating from the local marina and loading/unloading ramps

- Watching DVD's - library provided or rentals are available in nearby Netarts and Tillamook

- Visiting the Tillamook Cheese factory - we would bet it is better than your favorite
- Visiting the Tillamook Air Museum - a smallish but interesting display of live WWII and Korean war airplanes
- Listening to music - stereo plays CD's, has an iPod dock or connects to any mp3 player with mini-to- mini cable
