Vacation Rental Description

On the Island of Venice Beach, FL, appreciate the quaint community  
and the old Florida atmosphere. This two bedroom, two bath private  
home is a few blocks from the local beaches. This beautifully  
landscaped home features central air conditioning and washer and  
dryer. 
 
The master bedroom has 1 queen bed. Our second bedroom features 2  
twin beds and nice new furniture including dressers. This home also  
features air mattresses if needed for more guests.  
 
Venice is known as the prehistoric shark tooth capital of the world.  
Venice beaches include conservation parks, bird sanctuaries,  
canoeing, kayaking, hiking and biking trails, all within 1 mile from  
this home. Walk down to Sharkey's at the Pier for a sunset-drenched  
Pina Colada.  Watch the dolphins, bring a fishing pole, or just  
drink to your hearts content. Venice’s quaint, tree-lined downtown  
area is also within walking distance from this home.  The downtown  
shops include art galleries, antique stores, restaurants and  
clothing stores.  
 
Take day trips to Busch Gardens, Disney and Universal Studios for a  
change of scenery.

Venice Florida is best known for its beautiful white beaches (which  
include Casperson Park, Nokomis Beach and Brohard Park)

A Dog Friendly Beach on the Island of Venice 
 
Many of the beaches in Florida, have restrictions about having pets  
on the beach. Most say “no pets.” But, this doesn’t mean there isn’t  
room for your best pal on vacation in Venice though!  
 
Brohard Paw Park, right in the middle of Harbor Drive, across from  
the Venice Municipal Airport and the Lake Venice Golf Club, hosts  
a "Dog Beach" specifically designed to accommodate man's best  
friend. The best part is that the dogs get a chance to to romp in  
the sand and swim in the ocean off leash! Plus what dog beach would  
be  
complete without disposable doggie bags, replica fire hydrants,  
water bowls, and even doggie showers.  
 
The park even includes special fenced in places where small dogs can  
go and enjoy a run without the fear of being pushed out of the way  
by the big dogs.  
 
The Brohard Paw Park asks that dogs be kept on the leash unless you  
have good voice control over them, but as long as they are well  
mannered and come when you call, they can be let off to cool off in  
the ocean water.  
 
This is a great place to get your dog acquainted with the beautiful  
sands of Venice beach and to give them so time away from an ordinary  
walk around the block. There’s no need to leave your pet at home  
when you go on vacation with wonderful places like Brohard Paws Park  
in Venice.
