vacation rental description

In the early 1990's, the Estess family of Houston, Texas bought this
breathtakingly beautiful waterfront lot on Sun Valley Lake on the
western edge of Rocky Mountain National Park three miles north of
Grand Lake Village, Colorado. After years of dreaming of the
wonderful vacation home we would build there, we worked with an
architect to design and build this lovely lakefront home.
The striking two-story design blends into the natural beauty of the
surrounding countryside, and includes hand-hewn pine logs, many
large windows showcasing the scenic lake views, a covered patio, a
covered porch and an open deck. Interior features include a Kiva
fireplace, hardwood floors, a large kitchen with all of the modern
amenities, 3 full bathrooms with a jacuzzi tub in the master bath,
and a laundry room. The home is lovingly furnished with Southwestern
style decor, and will sleep up to 10 people comfortably.
Estess Keepsake was officially opened in May, 2005.

traveler reviews for this grand lake house rental

Beautful time in a Beautful place

Lynda & Bill Reed (Fort Collins Colorado)
Review submitted: June 9, 2012   Date of arrival: May 29, 2012

My husband Bill retired on May 25th and my sister Cyndi and her family came to celebrate this momentous occasion. We decided to take the party to Grand Lake. Bill and I have visited the area several times over the years. Finding the Estees House to rent was an incredible piece of luck! We got the beautful king suite and my sister and her husband got the lovely queen suite in the lower level. The third bedroom was a double bed bunk and a double bed. My neice and nephew loved their room, too! All bedrooms were decorated very tastefully and the entire place was very clean.
The best part of the entire time was sitting on the gorgeous deck watching the rainbow trout raise, hummingbirds buzz around and the moose just meandering. We will be back! Thank you Ted and Sybil!
