Vacation Rental Description

Casa Tranquila:  Stay in our beautiful, 2500 square foot, sunny home 
right in the center of the "Jewel of Colonial Mexico". We are 
located two blocks from the Jardin, the central square, in the 
Centro Historico part of town, set back from the street up a gated,  
private passage way.  After strolling the cobblestone streets, 
dining or shopping for delightful Mexican arts and crafts, return to 
a secure oasis of beauty and tranquility.

As you enter our flower filled patio you are transported back to Old 
Mexico.  Masses of bougainvillea, a grand old mesquite tree and 
hundreds of plants and flowers greet you.  With its two seperate 
sitting areas it is a great place to relax or entertain.  And this 
is only the beginning!

From this lovely patio you enter our great kitchen, tiled in 
colonial earth tones with gorgeous floor tiles, polished over many 
years to a wonderful leather looking sheen.  Adjoining the kitchen 
is a dining room, large enough to have dinner parties with old or 
new friends.  The dining room overlooks the first floor patio.

The master bedroom and bath are downstairs and both look out onto 
the patio.  The master bedroom can also be accessed from the patio 
through its own private entrance.  Wake up to flowers, sunlight, and 
the sound of birds.  This bedroom has two hotel quality double beds, 
gas fireplace, cable TV and a sitting area.  The adjoining bathroom 
is beautifully tiled with a huge bathtub and shower, and plenty of 
closet space.  The guest bedroom, with a double bed, is on the 
second floor and enjoys spectacular views.  It has it's own tiled 
bathroom with a shower.

From the dining room you walk up a staircase to our adjoining living 
rooms with spectacular views of the central part of town with its 
many wonderful church steeples as well as the western mountains in 
the distance.  The living rooms are stocked with books, original 
art, oriental rugs, a stereo, cable TV, DVD/VCR, as well as two 
sofas that can be converted into small single beds ... all the 
comforts of home to make your stay one of enjoyment and relaxation.

The artist's studio, already stocked with easels, is on the second 
floor and hopefully will inspire you to paint, draw or simply take 
an art class at one of the two prestigious art schools that are 
within a short walk.

Whether you are having your morning coffee in the lovely patio or 
are on our rooftop cactus garden enjoying our 360 degree spectacular 
views, or sipping margaritas while watching the sun set, you will 
feel the magic and charm of San Miguel in our home.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Free  High Speed Internet Connection and Free, Unlimited 
Calls to the USA and Canada on our VOIP Telephone with a USA 
Telephone Number. Land line for local calls. Gas Fireplaces, 2 cable 
TVs, DVD, Stereo and CD Player.  Music and DVD libraries. Full Kitchen: microwave, 
coffee maker, juicer, blender, toaster, food processor, refrigerator..... 
All cooking utensils and bed and bath linens provided.  
Electric blankets for all beds, heaters in every 
room. Washer and charcoal grill.  
Housekeeping service provided twice a week for a total of 8 
hours of light housekeeping.  
We can arrange for pickup at Leon or Queretaro airports.  
Will stock kitchen and bar for an additional fee.

Activities and Attractions

Take Spanish lessons, cooking classes or an art class within one block of our home, 
visit the produce and flower market, or the artesans market, within 
two blocks, rock climb or hike in the fabulous Botanical Gardens, 
swim and relax in the local hot springs, play golf or tennis, go 
horse back riding or take a hot air balloon ride, visit art 
galleries and museums, enjoy live music and theater, shopping and 
wonderful dining. 

Vacation Rental Rates

September, October, November and December 2008....US$3,250/four weeks...US$2,450/two weeks.
January and February 2009.....US$ 3,250/four weeks.....US$ 2,450/two weeks. 
July and August 2009....US$2,950/four weeks.....US$2,250/two weeks.
Two week minimum stay.
Security deposit US$800 due upon signing lease agreement.
Security deposit returned within 60 days.
Full amount of rental due 60 days prior to rental period.
Until confirmed, rates subject to change without notice.
No Smoking.  No pets.  No children under 14.
