Vacation Rental Description

The Arenas Casita is a historic 1931 Spanish Colonial beach home, only 
three blocks to the semi-private Little Point Beach and five blocks to 
the world-famous Windansea Beach. This home has all the amenities you 
will need to enjoy and wonderful vacation at the semi-private Little 
Point beach. 
 
The Arenas Casita is a relaxing and peaceful 2 bedroom, 1 bath home 
with a large living room, open floorplan with hardwood floors 
throughout. The two beautifully decorated bedrooms have large closets, 
quality matresses, luxury linens and pillows. The living room is fully 
equipped with a comfortable couch, two leather club chairs, 27 inch 
television with HBO, a dvd player and a seperate work/study desk area 
with wifi high speed internet access. In addition, there is a stereo 
with 6 disk CD player, and a telephone with free local and long 
distance service. 
 
The galley kitchen is complete with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and 
microwave. This home comes complete with all dishes, glassware, 
utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, as well as all kitchen 
utensils and small appliances necessary to prepare any meal. 
 
The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with contemporary 
furnishings, luxury linens and a bold and fresh feel. This room has a 
quality king-size mattress, 20-inch cable television, walk in closet, 
and attaches to the bathroom. The second bedroom is beautifully 
decorated as well with a queen-size mattress, luxury linens, 
nightstands at both sides of the bed, full-size dresser, direct access 
to the patio, as well as a large closet and direct access to the 
bathroom. All linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, bath towels, beach 
towels) are provided. 
 
The Arenas Casita has a sunny and quiet back patio shaded by 
bougainvilleas and fruit bearing trees. This space comes complete with 
an outdoor dining area, charcoal BBQ and Chimenea (Mexican fire place). 
 
This home is a great place to spend your vacation and enjoy your stay 
in our beach neighborhood. The beach is only a short 3 block walk away 
and we provide a surf board, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, 
beach towels, a cooler, 3 bicycles (2 adult, 1 kids) and wagon to 
carry everything with you so that you can better enjoy the area the 
way locals do. When you get back from a long day at the beach, this 
home also has a hot/cold outdoor shower for rinsing off. 
 
A full-size washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. There 
is a one car garage as well as off street parking for one additional 
car. In addition, you can order food and dairy products to be 
delivered to the home prior to your arrival. Your order will be 
charged to your credit card. To cancel or change your order, please

Activities and Attractions

The Arenas Casita is only a three block walk to Little Point beach, a 
scenic beach used mainly by locals. This is a great spot to enjoy a 
glorious sunset, dine on the sand, or swim in the refreshing ocean. If 
you are a walker or a runner, you will enjoy the three-mile RT jaunt 
to the La Jolla Cove and back. Many locals make this trek daily. On 
Sundays you can enjoy walking up to the La Jolla Farmer's Market where 
produce, flowers, handmade gifts and gourmet items are sold. 
 
Also nearby are the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland, 
Torrey Pines Golf Course, Balboa Park, Old Town, Carlsbad Flower 
Fields, and Coronado Island. 
 
About 1/2 mile from The Yellow Cottage is the public La Jolla Tennis 
Club and Recreation Center. Almost every evening and on weekends, 
locals engage in "pick-up" games at the Recreation Center basketball 
courts. Summer programs (i.e. Day Camps) for children are available 
daily. The Recreation Center also houses a gym for adults and a 
playground for children. Scuba diving at the La Jolla Cove Natural 
Reserve, surfing at the many La Jolla beaches, and kayaking at the La 
Jolla Shores are other activities locals and visitors enjoy. 
 
Other places of interest and all within walking distance or less than 
a 5 minute drive include the Cove Theater, an old movie house that 
specializes in foreign films, the renowned La Jolla Museum of 
Contemporary Art, the Pannekin Cafe; (the very first European style 
coffee shop in San Diego County), several fine galleries, and of 
course, a host of wonderful unique shops. The town boasts numerous 
churches and temples (Presbyterian, Catholic, Episcopalian, Jewish, 
Quaker, etc.) For those looking to be pampered, the luxurious SK Day 
Spa is located only one block away. Families can also enjoy touring 
the newly renovated La Jolla Scripps Aquarium. The La Jolla PlayHouse 
on the grounds of the University of California at San Diego offers 
superb theatre performances. 
 
Also within walking distance or a very short drive are numerous 
upscale restaurants or local haunts. i.e.: Harry's (an old-time coffee 
shop specializing in breakfasts), La Valencia Hotel and Whaling Bar, 
Sammy's Wood Fired Pizza, George's at the Cove, Alfonso's, El 
Ranchero, Bully's, The Mandarin House, The Fish Market, The Marine 
Room, to mention a few. There is a breakfast-bagel restaurant and an 
ice-cream store just two blocks away. And for the connoisseur of 
down-home Mexican food, there are several outstanding taco shops nearby.

 $1,500/week or $250/night or $4,500/month during the Winter Season 
(October 1 - May 31) 
$1,700/week or $285/night during Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, 
Spring Break/Easter, Memorial Day 
$1,800/week or $300/night during Mid Season (June 1 - 14 and September 
2 - 30) 
$2,100/week during the Summer season - weekly basis from Saturday - 
Saturday only (June 15 - Sept 1) 
 
**These rates do not include a 10.5% tax, cleaning fee and refundable 
security deposit 
**We require a minimum 4 night rental during the Winter and Holiday 
seasons
