Florida Vacation Rental 
 
Welcome to Cypress Point Cottage located on one of the small canals  
leading to the Dead River.  This 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage newly  
remodeled is nestled amongst the cypress trees.  Step out of the door  
to enjoy the serenity of nature, where you have osprey, eagles and  
barred owls as your neighbors.  This quiet cottage offers both  
privacy and convenience to Mt. Dora(just 5 miles south)known as the  
City of Festivals. 
 
When in season, walk out and pick your own fresh citrus fruit or  
avocadoes.  We have grapefruit, tangerines, juicing oranges, blood  
oranges and Meyer lemons. Eat as much as you want or take a few home.  
A fig tree is also available if you can beat the squirrels and birds  
to taste this delicacy. 
 
Boat house is available, depending on water level.  Or we offer a  
place to park your boat or camper.  There is a public boat dock  
within 2 miles.  The Dead River leads to and connects the Harris  
Chain of Lakes.  Lake Harris and the surrounding lakes are well known  
for incredible fishing.  Better yet just bring your pole and fish  
from your cottage!

Vacation Rental Amenities

Cypress Point Cottage is centrally located. Only 65 miles (1.5 hours  
drive time) to either coast.  1 hour ride to  
Disney/Universal/Seaworld and other attractions. Two miles to  
downtown Tavares which is host to Renaissance Fair, Dragon Boat  
Festival, Art in the Square, Fall Festival, Fourth  
of July Celebration, and Light Up Tavares. 
 
The cottage, which has A/C & heat, has a full kitchen with dishes &  
silverware, pots & pans, microwave, gas stove/oven, refrigerator,  
coffee pot, and toaster. The bathroom has a shower with towels,  
hairdryer and a basket of toiletries in case you forgot something!   
There is a queen size murphy bed (and a queensize deluxe aero bed  
that automatically inflates & deflates if there are additional  
guests) with sheets available. There is parking for a boat or RV.   
Outdoor furniture with a chimnea to enjoy a fire on a cool evening. 
 
There is a pontoon boat (18ft with shade cover) that can be rented by  
the day or week.  Gas not included.  Rental is $25 per day or $100  
for the week.  It is parked at the boat house within steps from the  
cottage.

Activities and Attractions

Enjoy boating, bass fishing, bicycling, shopping, fabulous  
restuarants, area attractions, or simply emersing yourself in the  
beauty of nature.

Vacation Rental Rates

In Season: Oct. 1st thru April 30th.  The cottage is $149-$169  per  
night, $ 810 weekly and $2200 monthly (plus tax). 
All utilities, cable TV, wireless high speed internet, are included.   
All rates based on double occupancy. Extra persons are $35 per night. 
 
Off Season: May 1st thru Sept. 30th.  The cottage is $99 -  
$129 per night for weekends and $99 per night on weekdays ($99  
weekday rate Sunday through Thursday), $500  
weekly and $1400 monthly (plus tax).   
 
The cottage is pet friendly and a pet sitter/walker is available at  
an additional cost.  The Riverhouse is home to Miss Mary, the Jack  
Russel and Tipper & Dolce the kitties.
