Located in Palisades Park Country Club, this beautiful, large, cedar-
sided cottage is nestled in the wooded dunes a very short walk (3
minutes) from one-half mile of private, uncrowded, Lake Michigan
beach, clubhouse with summer activities for children, a soda bar and
grill, and ten tennis courts (four Hard-Tru and 6 clay).

Palisades Park is a unique gated community in southwest Michigan,
only 6 miles south of South Haven, containing approximately 200 homes
spread out over 600 acres of forested dunes with hiking and nature
trails for your enjoyment.

cottage rental amenities

This two story cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (no tubs). The
main (upper) level has a large open living room/dining room/kitchen
combination which opens onto a LARGE screened porch with vaulted
ceiling and its own sitting and dining areas. There is even a small
electric fireplace on the porch to take the chill off those
cool evenings. A gas grill is available for use just off the screened
porch. The living room contains a wood-burning fireplace, tv w/vcr
and dvd players (no tv reception, but a few videos are on hand), and
a stereo. The master bedroom with king size bed and attached bath is
upstairs, along with a smaller bedroom with 2 twin beds and a crib.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar with seating
for six.

The lower level contains a 3rd bedroom with king size bed, a 4th dorm
style "family" bedroom with queen bed, bunk beds, and a single bed. A
bathroom, laundry facilities, and a play room are also located on the
lower level. Please note that the narrow spiral staircase
may not be appropriate for use by small children or those with
mobility problems (it can be blocked off with our child gate).
However, the upper and lower levels can also be accessed by use of
the outdoor stairway.

The cottage has a beach storage box to keep chairs, umbrellas, and
beach toys in during your stay. No hauling back and forth!

We have also added a nice new 4 seat golf cart for getting around the
park (licensed drivers only!)

A beautiful, private association beach is a short walk down a wooded
path, where you can sail, kayak, or just sit and enjoy beautiful Lake
Michigan sunsets. On the way to the beach, you will pass the
Clubhouse where children 6-12 can participate in organized
activities during the summer months (dates vary, but usually mid-June
through mid-August).

Just off the beach is a soda bar and grill where you can get a hot
dog and cool off with a cold drink or milkshake. Several Har-tru
tennis courts are also available for use.

FREE group tennis lessons for children during summer months (usually
mid June to mid-August)

Palisades is a short 6 mile drive from all of the restaurants, bars,
and sights of South Haven, yet feels a world away.
