Best of Taj.. Best of Goa
I stayed for two days and I must this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at.
Situated alongside a south Goa beach called Benaulim this is a pretty spread out property which I guess would be amongst the best Taj properties in the world. A good chunk of the accomodation is in villas .. I think in general there are three varieties of rooms. Standard deluxe rooms, villas and villas with private pool.
The rooms are pretty spacious which I assume folows because it is a leisure hotel and the service is just at par with other Taj Hotels.. which itself must be ranking amongst the best in the world.
In terms of facilities also there is just about everything you can imagine.
Whether it is choice of food, sports activities(including golf, shooting, table tennis, tennis, cricket, football, chess, pool, etc)
The hotel has a private access to Benalim beach and even though it is right next to Colva beach which is probably the most crowded of the South Goa beaches, it is pretty much free from hawkers and is on a clean stretch of white sands.
However, on the flip side I guess the swimming pool appeared to have a maximum depth of just about 4/5 feet which fell short of expectations....

Unique Quality: The views from the rooms are really amazing.. almost all rooms give a sea view(its really sea view) though there is the green fields of the hotel in between which is basically a pathway to the beach and one can't see the beach per se as the hotel, is built at some height one can see the water from the rooms.
The facilities in the hotel was just about everythign a person can look forward to-- apart from the whole host of facilities for sports activities one can also spend time at the library or borow books from the library apart from doing the usual stuffs like the internet or shopping etc etc.
Apart from the regular television, the rooms also have a DVD player. So if you are movie maniac or are carrying some XXX stuff then you can be in touch with the silver screen on your small screen!!
