The Bungalow is a private waterfront home on Otis reservoir with
breath taking views from almost every window. This 3 bedroom, 1 bath
completely furnished cottage is just right for a couple or family
looking for a great summer vacation spot. The Bungalow offers a
private wrap around deck just 10 feet from the water’s edge.
Is boating your game? Is fishing your past time? This is the place
for you. Otis reservoir is the biggest recreational body of water
in the state of Massachusetts. The lake has some of the best bass
fishing around. The third weekend in May is the “Almost Bass
Masters “ weekend here at the Reservoir. In the past the lake has
been stocked with Atlantic salmon. The aunt and uncle of this
cottage’s owner, has had the pleasure of reeling in a 10 pound, 30”
salmon.
Off-season time is just as beautiful as the summer. The fall
foliage reflecting off the water is a sight to be held. X-country
skiing, snowmobile, ice fishing, is right outside the front door.
Downhill skiing is only 10 to 20 minutes away. Take advantage of the
discounted off-season rates but still enjoy the beauty of the
Berkshires at your front door.
The Bungalow has a large kitchen with many cabinets and counter
space. The living room and dinning room face the water with 3 walls
of windows to view the sunrise and the sunset. There are two open
decks for your enjoyment. One half of the upper deck is covered
with an awning. The other have is open where you will have the use
of a gas grill for outdoor cooking, which is easy access from the
kitchen. The lower deck is covered where there is a Hatters Hammock
hanging for those peaceful afternoon snoozes.
There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and other with a
twin bed. On the first floor there is 1 bedroom with a queen bed.
The bathroom is also on the first floor. There is a washer and
dryer in the basement that you can get to from the kitchen or from
the outside.
This cottage has been well kept and maintained by its owners for
many years. If you are looking for a larger accommodation check out
the sister cottage just across the street listed here on this site
describe as “The Getaway on Otis Reservoir”.

The Bungalow comes with a fully equipped kitchen. It includes the
basic stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher along with toaster,
toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, pots,
pans,
dishes and
utensils. There is a washer and dryer in the basement and a gas
grill for outdoor cooking. You will also have for your use TV,
VCR/DVD player and CD player.
There are 3 bedrooms. One has a king bed, one has a queen bed and
the other has a twin bed. All linens and towels are provided.
Outside there is a boat dock to tie a boat to, an easy walk in
shallow area for swim and large grassy area for sunbathing or little
ones to play on. The open deck has a gas grill and deck furniture
with umbrella for your enjoyment. Half of the open deck has a
canopy
for people sensitive to the sun

The activities in Berkshire County and on Otis Reservoir are endless
to ones imagination. Hiking, biking, boating, swimming, fishing,
nature walks, dinning, theater, museum, shopping is all here waiting
for you to enjoy.
Locally we have 10 restaurants to dine at, 2 gas stations and 4
convenience stores.
Enjoy the country setting of a waterfront cottage during the day and
drive a short distance to Lee, Lenox, Great Barrington, or
Stockbridge for your evening entertainment. The Bungalow is 15 to
50 minutes to Berkshire Premier Cultural Resorts.
