vacation rental description

The main exit to the Grand Canyon is just 13 miles down the freeway or you can use a 7 mile stretch of Old 66 then get on the freeway at the Deer Farm exit. Sedona is about an hours drive from here. With the canyon to the west, Sedona to the south/east and Flagstaff to the direct east this little cabin is in an ideal spot. If you go to Sedona, Jerome would be a nice addition to your trip. At the first entrance to Williams you will see the turn off to Bearizona, you can't miss that if you are in the area. Roger's Cabin is clean and quiet sitting right on the edge of the Kaibab National Forest. Also it's non-smoking and pet friendly. If you are in northern Arizona for hunting in area 7 west, fishing in the lakes near Williams, hiking Kendrick Peak or just enjoy walking, you won't be disappointed by the location. In the past 4 years we've not had a disappointed guest at all.

  • Notes
    • This little cabin is not set up for long term rental, we have had a few requests for that but prefer not to. The firewood is provided by the local Ponderosa Pine tree department just across the fence. There are seasons when outdoor fire is not permitted by the forest service, it will be posted. Other than that there is no restrictions. We provide coffee, sugar, tea, salt, pepper and some basic spices. There desposable plates and also the real deal plates, cups, dinnerware etc. Also there is a slow cooker in there. If you need more than that we will try to provide it for you. Plenty of parking in front of the cabin, you just might want to watch for the sap from the trees. The shade is nice, but . . .

traveler reviews for this parks cabin rental

Cozy and Comfortable

Review submitted: May 20, 2014   Date of arrival: May 15, 2014

Had a great two-night stay at Roger's Cabin. Cabin is definitely small (one small room plus a bathroom) but cozy and comfortable.

Linda and Andy were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive.

Easy to find with their directions and very close to the highway. A little over an hour to the grand canyon, and reasonably close to WIlliams for groceries etc. we cooked out on the (Weber) grill both nights and had delicious sunset dinners.

My only complaint is that the cabin is not as isolated as I had expected. it's in a cluster of cabins and these are even close to another backyard. The forest on one side of the cabin extends quite a ways, but the view out the front door is less exciting.

All that said, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely do so again.

Remote Location Small Cabin

Review submitted: April 19, 2014   Date of arrival: March 27, 2014

Winter not quite over during our stay and despite small size of cabin the one space heater did not keep the place warm enough. No internet or phone were drawbacks. Not enough room for 2 people. Price, however, was right. And we were easily able to get to places on our list. Owners not too visible or accessible but place was clean and ready for us, despite some confusion on caretaker's part about whether we had cancelled. Would likely not stay there again.

Loved this little cabin. Quiet, clean and beautiful surroundings. Planning on coming back in summer time with Grandpa.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, pet-friendly, romantic getaway
