Vacation Rental Description

Many Castles is a completely furnished and equipped "upside-down" house 
located on the south side of Nantucket Island. Access to Many Castles is 
provided by a privately maintained road which winds through more than a 
mile of conservation land in beautiful Maddequecham Valley. This exclusive 
area of the Island is protected by Nantucket law and consists of only a dozen 
or so homes nestled among several thousand acres of moors, meadows and 
beaches. Yet you are only several minutes by car from the shopping and 
excitement of Nantucket Town.

Built in 1983 in a style reminiscent of the Federal Period with its hipped roof 
and ornamental widow's walk, Many Castles is situated to take maximum 
advantage of 180 degree ocean views from the expansive second level walk-
out deck. A broad, sandy ocean beach, well known by island natives for its 
privacy, beauty and excellent fishing is just a ten minute walk down an idilic 
path through unspoiled heartland and meadows. Or enjoy volleyball at our 
backyard court. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

The interior of the house features an expansive upper-level great room with 
vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams, white-washed walls and wide-plank 
floors. Panoramic views of the Atlantic and moors greet the eye from every 
perspective. Many Castles has been tastefully decorated with modern decor 
and artwork, suggesting a festive environment replete with light and color. 
Creature comforts such as color TV, satelite dish, VCR, CD and stereo are 
provided, and guests are encouraged to bring along their favorite videotapes 
and CD's. The house is equipped for baby or small child, with crib, bed rail 
and high chair. 

The kitchen is completely equipped for the cook and includes, of course, a 
microwave oven and dishwasher. The dining room comfortably seats eight, or 
you may wish to dine al fresco on the fully appointed deck which includes 
chaise lounges, a gas grill and table and chairs. A half bath rounds out the 
upper level. 
The lower level consists of three bedrooms and a 4th den with double 
sofabed. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed. Two bedrooms each 
have a queen bed and a twin chair-bed. The den has a comfortable double 
sleeper sofa. Mattresses are new and firm and linens are of the highest 
quality. A large full bath and modern laundry facilities are also located on the 
lower level. A private outside hot shower is available for trips back from the 
beach.

All of Nantucket Island is yours to enjoy:  the beautiful beachs , Nantucket Town, Sconset, fine 
dining, music, 
theatre, fishing, water sports, the list goes on and on!

Vacation Rental Rates

For 2008 July and August weeks transferable Automobile Ferry Reservations are available, at cost, 
approx. $370 
roundtrip. This is a limited time offer.  On May 15, 2008, the transferable ferry reservations 
revert back to the

Spring $2,100/wk, Early Summer $2,100/week, $2,300/week and $2,600/week 
depending on the week.  Summer (July and August) $3,800/week.  Fall $2,600/week, 
$2,300/week & $2,100/week depending on the week.  Late fall $2,100/week.
