Vacation Rental Description

NAHELE: The O'Reilly Forest Chalet

Nahele is a private vacation rental nestled in the lush Hawaiian
rainforest of Volcano.  The chalet is very peaceful, with its own
beautiful vista of Ohia trees and Hapu'u tree ferns, orchids,
anthuriums, white ginger and birds of paradise.  No road traffic. 
Perfect for a romantic adventure or a relaxing getaway.  

You won't have to give up all the benefits of civilization during
your stay!  Nahele has all first-class modern amenities.  A fully
stocked kitchen, outdoor hot tub, HDTV entertainment center,
high-speed internet access, and a private wi-fi wireless hotspot
ensure that you will only be as cut off from civilization as you
choose to be.  Your cell phone will work here!  (But you may want to
leave it turned off anyway.)  

Nahele is also currently the only property in Volcano to have a
computerized "Volcano Trip Planner".  Just turn on the central
computer - the trip planner will come up automatically and show you
the current hour-by-hour weather report for the Volcano area, the
current eruption status, and a checklist of things to bring, things to
remember, and the best times and places to hike to the lava.  No other
vacation rental will help you explore Kilauea like this!

Vacation Rental Amenities

- 1 full bathroom, 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft area.
- Master bedroom has a queen-size bed, guest bedroom has a full-size
adjustable bed with remote control.  Sleeping loft area has a
full-size fold-out futon.  Sleeps 4-6 comfortably.
- Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee
maker, pots and pans, place settings and utensils.
- Wood burning stove.  Firewood provided for free.
- Washer and dryer.
- Covered rear deck with 5-person HotSpring outdoor hot tub.
- High-speed internet access, wireless network access, and computer
provided free for guests.
- Living room entertainment center includes: 42" plasma HDTV, 5-disc
DVD/CD changer, 5.1 digital surround sound system, digital HDTV cable
with DVR.  
- Each bedroom has its own private entertainment center with TV,
DVD/VCR, and digital cable.
- For stays or 2 nights ore more we will be happy to provide you with
some complimentary breakfast fixings (our gift to you).  Breakfast
fixings may include  coffee,  tea,  hot chocolate, pancake  mix,
syrup, bread/bagels, butter/jam, juice, fresh fruit.  (exact items may
vary depending on local availability). 
- There are always fresh tropical flowers in the house for your
enjoyment.  Aloha, and enjoy your stay!

Activities and Attractions

- Located in Volcano Village, just outside the entrance to the Hawaii
Volcanoes National Park - explore the active volcano, Kilauea, and see
the lava!
- Several great restaurants and general stores right in Volcano
Village within walking distance.
- 30 minutes to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach - the most famous black sand
beach in Hawaii.  Famous nesting place for Hawksbill Sea Turtles!  I
have never yet visited the beach without seeing at least 2 or 3 turtles.
- 30 minutes drive to Hilo, the island capital, for swimming,
shopping, tours, etc.
- 40 minutes to the North Hilo / Hamakua coast to see the waterfalls
and botanical gardens.

Vacation Rental Rates

Regular rate: $195/night for double occupancy.
 * + $20/night for each add'l guest.
 * Holiday or seasonal rate may apply.  

Special: stay 3 or more nights and pay only $185/night.

Special: rent 7 nights and get one night free!  
 * You must request this discount when you make the reservation. 
Cannot be combined with any other discount offer.

Cleaning Fee: NONE

Cancellation policy: 14 days.  Reservations for 4 days or more have a
30-day cancellation requirement.  Full refund if cancelled within the
cancellation period.  No refund if cancelled less than 14 days prior
to scheduled arrival date.

Credit card # (or a one-night deposit check) is required to guarantee
a reservation.  Payment is due on arrival.  We accept personal checks,
cashier's checks, credit card, traveller's checks, or cash.
