Vacation Rental Description
This is a beautiful house that is located on one acre of
direct oceanfront land with private coves and unobstructed panoramic
views. We are not across the street from the ocean-we are on the ocean!
Enjoy your time in the yard that surrounds the house or on the
wrap around covered deck, the screened in porch, the second floor
deck, and if you like, watch the stars from our deck on the top of
the house. The house includes a large living room with
dining area, modern kitchen, three bedrooms, and two baths. The house
is architectually pleasing and well designed with views throughout.
The sound of the ocean surf and bell buoys, the scenic boating
activity, and the sunrise over the horizon are yours.
Vacation Rental Amenities
Amenities include outside shower, grill, cable tv, cd/radio, dvd
player, washer and dryer.
The water's edge is 30 feet from your front door.
Just a short walk to front side of the island.
Activities and Attractions
The house is directly on the ocean. Within steps, you are in your own
private cove for splashing/swimming or fishing. The house is
surrounded in the back by pines and birches and a bird sanctuary.
There is also a second yard with 150ft in length of grass ( a great
place for soccer) that leads to another cove where you can launch
your kayak if you like. The house is located on land rich with island
history. There is even a World War II army bunker on the property.
Peaks Island is a wonderful place for hiking, biking and walking,
friendship and family time, solitude and rest. There are restaurants,
a grocery store, various shops, and historical sites.
During the months of July and August, there is a one week membership
available at the island club that features adult and children
activities plus tennis and sailing.
Peaks Island is a convenient 20 minute ferry ride from Portland.

We have a cancellation for August 31-September 8 (eight night Labor Day rental) @$2,000

September and October $1,500/wk
Rates for 2009
June $2,500/wk
July and August $3,000/wk
September and October $2,000/wk
We also have a one bedroom guest cottage that is available for $600/week with the rental of the
house.
